ok i was really too tired and amazed this morning to fully explain my reasons...
obviously the main one is that anyone who is still making as many mistakes as ken, still confuses or misleads everyone with his transfer adds, and is only now on track because of a real mentor, should NOT be putting themselves forward as a mentor. Newbies will learn far better from first hand conversation with mentors than through hearing Ken's interpretation of Phil's advice. One top of that, anyone who does not have plus is unable to see other peoples matches. Therefore how exactly are they going to give tactical criticism and advice? Surely you also need to be able to create several distinct tactics that are proven to be successful before you can advice a newbie on this.
i agree Ken has made progress, but he was still beaten by a newbie and is still a long way from being a successful manager. i'm also top of my league, and achieved promotion in my first full season, but i have no illusion that i could be a good mentor.

There are a lot of managers with experience who don't want to be there.

My reasons for not offering are varied, but in a nutshell. I'm not that active and I'm only where I am because I've been playing a long time.
I'd rather a new user got a premium helper from a select list, rather than an enthusiastic one that doesn't know the ins and outs of everything.

I wasn't, and tbh I'm not that comfortable with looking like I personally can decide who can help who, just because I posted the thread in the first place.

I personally think you need more time on the game to be able to be listed, also I like to think mentors don't need mentoring.
fine why is my name on the list. it should be taken off. Plus if any newbie comes to me for advice i can only tell them what i learnt.
