Subject: training confusion
another question...so if i am training pace right now and i am able to track the tendency of pops can the same rate of pops be attributed to other forms of training?
pace trains a little slower, so the other forms of training would be a wee bit faster.
okay so if i want to switch over to say striker training i can set 3 positions as ATT right? does it matter where? so i have 2 strikers and a mid that i want to train as striking so can i set say Position 8 as striker even though he plays as a mid?
just to make sure..if i do do that does that mean the rest of my team doesnt train?
if you train striker for ATT, yes only people who set as ATT will train.
there is also general training for whoever plays in the week but it is a small small fraction of ur set training, especially if your coaching staff isnt that great

in training pace... does minutes played matter? it's been a couple seasons since i've trained pace and the rules are generally vague considering all types of training. would it compel me to sub in all of my backups in the 89th minute so everybody receives training? also how important is the head coaches general appraisal for random pops?
umm to my understanding pace training is dictated by the amount of minutes your player gets in a week so subbing in in the 89th minute doesnt work. i dont think general apprasail has much to do with random pops as much as individual skill sets... maybe someone will prove me wrong....not too sure.
Yes, kliang is right. The amount of minutes played is important in pace training. You want people to get their full 90 minutes if possible.
As far as the coach goes. The better your coach is the more random pops you will have, in my experience. Your head coach is the only coach in which the individual training skill, such as level of pace, is important. So to get the maximum training in that skill set you would want unearthly pace. Assistant coaches overall quality is the only thing that helps with training. Not sure if that answered your question completely, but that is what I have found.
Training of pace
Pace is trained by all players that played at least once during the week, regardless of position. Although this is similar to stamina training, pace is a physical training and thus its effectiveness depends on both a player’s age and talent.
taken from rules.
i know about the whole unearthly thing in the skill you're training haha. just the general appraisal of a head coach seems to be some huge mystery. apparently it affects tactical discipline, but also it supposedly increases random pops. i also heard that assistant coaches only affect random pops, and if your assistant coaches' general appraisal is higher than the head coaches then there will be a conflict. why does training have to be so confusing?

From Rules:
Note that when you substitute a player, they will only receive training according to how long they played in the match. The player must play with the same match order (def, att etc) in both matches in one week, otherwise only the last match they played will count for training (even if you are training pace). The only time when the match order does not count is with stamina training.

all training is time dependent except for stamina, 90 minutes in a week playtime ~max training
head coach individual skills scale general training (more general training in areas hes stronger in, less in weaker). assistant coaches (with their ga) amplify the effectiveness of the head coach

hm...okay so if i am keeping track of a couple of players and i am training pace right now....if i expect them to pop in the coming week (after looking at their graph) if i switch to say striking. will they pop for sure?
if they are due in pace they will pop in pace if you train them in pace
oh so i switch to say strike there is no guarantee that they will pop in striking?
