Lovely [del] to
All
I must be missing something here.
Just sold my first trainee, got $9600 for him.
He took 8 weeks to train, so that's what, $12000 in training fees, not counting the empty slots, junior coach salary, and sacked trainees that I have to amortise somewhere.
Remind me why I'm doing this again?

For the love of Canada and that rare player that may make the national team in 5-10 seasons time.
I was gonna say something along that line but you beat me by a few secs... :)
You sold the following player: Elliott Noe and received 4 302 336 C$.
That's why :D

Another question on juniors...
How many free slots would you recommend maintaining? I know you never get more than six new juniors in a given week, but how often do you actually get six? How many slots is it worth having before the law of diminishing returns kicks in? (I've been keeping five slots open, and occasionally six, and they almost never fill up completely...)

That sounds reasonable to me. I always leave 6 slots open, almost without exception. There always seems to be weak trainees that can be dumped.

solid passing, poor striker
+4 in pace

Thats why I have my juniors school. You can't have those every season but you can get close to those ones and decent talent. Maybe I got lucky and get 3 brilliant last 2 season and 1 divine first and only one in Canada I guess.
Note that you not gonna get your money back for every junior from the school but once you got a decent one. He might be a good or solid but if he is young and skills in place you might get good money.
The answer for your last question is IMO, always keep 6 slots open, you newer know. I keep only adequate and up and even if they dont pop after 5-6 weeks I sack them. Only if he is 2-3 weeks to graduate I keep him to see maybe he come up as 16 years old and if he got some skill in place he might sell for a couple bux
