alright, i want to know what the general opinion is here. Which week will be most profitable for me to sell some of my players? is it around week 6? or week 12? i am looking for a couple pops in pace before i sell but if i will get mroe for a guy earlier on then I would like to know.
I'll give you the standard poker answer: It Depends. It's entirely possible that for different players, the right answer will be different.
If I were in this situation, I'd be asking: How talented is the player? Will he be worth more, i.e., a better player, by Week 12? How many pops am I expecting him to get in those six weeks? How much salary is he taking down? Am I replacing him or trimming my roster?
All other things being equal, week 6 is probably better for most players, for two important reasons: (1) you save six weeks of salary payments, and (2) because Seca says so, and Seca knows everything (-: Remember, if you're keeping him for six weeks and not replacing him, you have to recoup those six weeks of salary to make it worth your while. And that's usually a pretty tall order.
