Subject: what to train?

Hi, i'm new to the game and i don't really know what to train. I was going to train pace but of my 5 players with a value over $200,000, 3 are 30 or over so i thought it might be better to train something like technique which most of my players (except, luckily, the older players) lack because i didn't think it was that important until i saw the player with the highest pace on my team(excellent) and tragic technique touch the ball and do his best impression of a snail.
The rest of my team is pretty young though(10 out of the 16 are 23 years or younger) so i thought they could benefit from the pace training, especially my strikers who aren't that fast, however their technique is worse. I feel like technique would be a better choice, but my problem with it right now is that i'm not entirely sure who to train first. I know my strikers need it and my winger with excellent pace needs it desperately.
any advice?
p.s. my DEF isn't very fast, is technique as important for them in this case?

There is another thread "Training" opened by Kbailie77.
I advise you to read it. you can see my opinion:

"I think is better to buy 22 defenders:
- 17 yo good pace and defending
- 16yo adequate pace and defending
Buy a unearthly of pace coach from the coaches market and train pace. (wage not more then 10k)
Train pace until you will identify 10 talented defenders. When you find a low talented defender just sell him and buy another one.

When you have 10 talented defenders switch the training to defending, buy a coach unearthly of defending, fire the coach of pace and sell all the rest of the players you trained in pace and are not so talented as the chosen guys. "

Now at beginning of the season the players may be 18 and 17 yo instead of 17 and 16yo

Re: technique training. Dont bother training for players over 20. Focus your training on young players, they respond much better. Try to pick up 17 yo players on the tl for cheap.
If you have young players that need technique, then that is probably a good place to start.

I would train defenders or ATT.

Defenders need defense and pace
ATT need striker, technique and pace.

The rest go for what 1 told you, but keep in mind that you can train 10 defender and 6 ATT (after you have train 22 for pace)

thanks for alll the advice, i've decided to train tech for a while first

Darcy Beaudoin, age: 33
wage: 9 600 C$
club: Rainbow Sniffers, country: Canada
weak coach

Training effectiveness:
poor of stamina unsatisfactory of keeper
weak of pace hopeless of defender
unearthly of technique poor of playmaker
tragic of passing average of striker

one of my players just popped in technique and his value went down...is that a bug or something?

It is due to form. Value moves up and down with form.

i checked that, it stayed at magical, or does it go up and down slightly in between the levels?
