Things You're Going To Need To Become A Great Team, That I'm Now Going To Explain
1. A head-coach
2. 3 Assistants
3. Tactics
4. A Youth Team
5. A Big Stadium
--------------------------------------------
1.The head coach is probably the most important person in your club. He is solely responsible for the skill you're training and is also important to training other skills. The very first thing you need to do is buy a main coach.
Click on transfers, in the top left corner click on Trainers. This is the auction section where you can buy staff. Now as a new user you havent much money so this is what you're looking for.
You need to find a coach with at least Magical stamina + 1 other skill above Magical, preferably the skill you plan on training. DO NOT BUY A COACH WITH WAGES OF MORE THAN 12000. You wont be able to afford them. It'll probably take a few attempts as people will outbid you but once you have a head-coach, go into the Coaching and Tactics area (Number 5 above), find your coach and click on Main to assign your new purchase to the head-coach position. While we're here, under Individual Training select Stamina and click Change.
Once you've done that, move onto the next step.
2. Assistants
This bit is fairly simple and because you're poor, i'd advise only buying 2 assistants. The only thing that matters with assistants is their general rating. You can find this above Training Effectiveness where it will say "Outstanding Coach" etc. Try and get the best assistants you can without spending more than 8000 in each of their wages. Then do as you did with the head coach and assign them to the assistant positions.
3. I'll deal with this is Stage 4 as it's deserving of it's own topic.
4. I would advise ignoring the youth team when you start out. You need to invest a lot of money to make it worthwhile. Essentially though it's about hiring the best youth coach (same idea as the assistants) and having as many spaces in the youth team as possible. It'll cost you about 70000 a week to do that though, so thats why i'd leave it for now.
5. You wont need a bigger stadium yet as you dont have many fans or enough money. Later in the game it pays to build seats in the central stands and benches behind the goals.

Stage 3 - Players
Skill Types
Stamina - Players get tired. The more stamina they have, the better they'll perform later in the game. Stamina only goes up to Formidable but is trained by everyone.
Pace - Speed. If you train pace, you entire team gets training.
Technique - The ability to control the ball and not fall over it. Pretty important for defenders as if they cant control the ball, a striker will be glad to steal it off them. It's also important for dribbling past players.
Passing - The better your passing, the less you'll have to run after the ball.
Keeping - Is only needed by Keepers.
Defending - The ability to tackle and win the ball. Essential for defenders and very useful for midfielders.
Playmaking - Creativity and the ability to pick the right pass quickly. Useful for defenders trying to get the ball away and essential for midfielders looking to setup the attack.
Striking
Striking - The better your striking, the more likely you are to hit the target when taking a shot.
Player Types
Strictly speaking there are 4 types of players, Keepers, Defenders, Midfielders and Forwards . Technically there are 6, with full-backs and wingers requiring slightly different skills. Below are the skills they require.
Keepers
Require Keeping, Pace and Passing. Keeping is the obvious priority and pace is useful. Passing is just a bonus.
Defenders
Require Defending, Pace and Technique. These 3 are the essential skills. Playmaking and Passing are useful and full-backs need them a bit more.
Midfielders
Require Playmaking, Passing, Pace and Technique. Those 4 are essential. Defending is a very useful skill to have as well. Wingers require less playmaking and more pace/technique and passing.
Forwards
Require Striking, Pace and Technique. Anything else is just a bonus.
All players require Stamina which is why it's the first thing you should train.

Stage 4 - Tactics and Selecting Your Lineup
Ok i'll start with the easier bit
Selecting Your Lineup
Click on Matches (number 4)
Find your next game and click on Match Orders
Click on Squad
You should now have a drop-down menu of your players but first you need a tactic. At the bottom of the pitch on the left is a dropdown menu for you to select your formation. Pick one and click save. Now click on Squad again and assign a role (Def, Mid or Att) to each position. Then assign players to the positions in the same way. Click save and you're pretty much done apart from the conditional orders for substitutions.
To set substitutes, you need to click on orders. Then pick a minute for the order, a condition (player always comes on, player comes on if you're losing etc), the player you want to bring on and the player you want to take off. While you're here, set a penalty taker as well. Once thats done, save and you're set for the match.
Creating Your Own Tactics
Ok * Deep breath *
Creating your own tactics is an important part of being a successful club. Once you get out of the lower division the standard tactics the game gives you wont be enough to win games. You will have to outfox and outthink your opposition and creating your own formation is the only way to do that. Lets get started.
Click on No 5 and then Tactics. You should see a pitch on the right hand side. In the bottom-left there should be a dropdown box that says Create New Tactics Based On. As you're new you have to select one of the game formations, 442 etc. Once you've selected one you need to give it a name of your choice in the section below, i'd call it 1st. Then click Create.
You've just created your own tactic but now you have to make it your own. Under User Tactics you should now see your named tactic. Click on it.
Now if you hover over the pitch, your players and the match ball should show up in the centre-circle. It's now your job to move them around, according to the ball position. There are 35 ball positions. Now would be a good time for you to watch this video
Creating Your Own Formation
I've not shown the whole tactic but its enough to give you an idea. Move the ball, arrange the players, then move the ball again and so on.
When you are done arranging your formation, click the save button underneath the pitch. You have no created your 1st formation. To use it you need to follow the instructions above on setting your team.
Dont worry if your first tactic isnt very good. You can learn how to improve it by watching your games.

Stage 5 - The Youth System
This bit is fairly simple. You need 2 things
A coach with a high general rating.
Spaces in your youth system.
If you go to your office you'll see a link to the youth area. There's an area that says "Change the number of places" this number is how many youth players you're allowed. You can have a maximum of 30 but each space costs 1000 per week.
Every Saturday you will be given up to 6 new youths to train. The number beside them is how many weeks until they're ready to move into your full team.
Now depending on how good your youth coach is, player ratings will improve on Thursday. Anyone improving at less than a level every 6 weeks isnt worth keeping and should be sacked.

Well thats all well and good but this is a newb guide and frankly even i'm a bit confused by all those numbers.
It's also majorly flawed in regards talent and how long a player has been on the pitch.

well from the numbers you can assume its 2 full matches a week and also highly talented players.
just shows a general trend is all as to how players train as regards age and how players take only ~2 weeks to pop in pace at a young age which i found quite interesting

the screeenshots here are out of date caus of the new skin or whatever...the new script..thats it... id post my clubpage but its a bit... flashy...
The look is different, the layout is the same. I cant be bothered updating it at the moment.
Nuts! I dont have a copy or the programme to do it again atm.
Hi guys,
I am a newbie having some trouble. I have customized the tactics I want for a game but when i try to save them it keeps telling me they cannot be saved!! Am I missing something?? Or are there only specific times you can save tactics such as at game time?
Thanks for your help!!

No you can save tactics at any time. Try this
Go to "Create new tactics based on:" and select any one
Enter a name for it
Click Create
It should now appear in the list of formations above. Select it, edit it to how you like in the grid and then save via bottom right of the tactic grid.
