There is 2 ways of making money in this game
1. Train players and sell them
2. Daytrading
3. Being a scroungy manger, no coaches, just players.. saving money each week on wages, getting income from sponsors, and then buying new players when yours get old.

1. Training Players
Put simply, this is the most efficient, and reliable method.
goalkeepers - goalkeeper (2 trainees)
defenders - Pace and Defender (10 trainees - can have 22 when doing pace)
Strikers - Pace, Technique, Striker (10 trainees, with 6 when training striker)
Personally when i started, i had 10 defender trainees at maybe 20 000 $ each, trained for 4 seasons and sold on average for 800 000 $ each
Profits? = 7 800 000 $
This money was reinvested in trainees at 500 000 $ each + some youthschool players (+coaches..main players, etc)
current player values 2 000 000 $, 2 seasons value = 4 000 000 $
Profits in 2 seasons provided players are sold? 35 000 000 $

2. Daytrading
Put simply this is buying players cheap by monitoring the transfer market, and reselling then at a later date for profits.
-Needs initial large sums to be effective usually, though lots of trading can be done of cheaper players to make that up
-Random. you can make a bargain on a player, but resale, might not make profits!
for this reason its completely unreliable also
-Players might not want to go on transfer list too soon after buying them.. there are cases where it takes 3 weeks
-4% selling fee, or 8% if player is < 23 years old
-changes year in year out. a player now might be worth very little in a few seasons time. even if he didnt age!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
3. Being a scroungy manger
Put simply,. this involves
-no coaches, just players..
You are saving money each week on wages, getting income from sponsors, and then buying new players when yours get old..
-small squad
-no training, dont need friendlies much
Example.
Income from sponsors 120 000 $ per week
Income from stadium 60 000 $ per week over 2 weeks (120000 for a match)
Expenditure 40 $ - 60 000 $ per week on wages
when you consider this, you have a profit of 120 000 $ over a week, which is ~ 1 500 000 $ per season.
This means if you buy 2 players per season at a value of 750 000 $ each. at age 24 and resell at 31, you have a squad of 14-16 players as you need
these players at that value are quite capable!
-very stagnant process.. hard to improve
-little effort required
-game is very boring..no training pops etc
-if you get demoted a division, sponsor money will decrease a lot (see ajrisze in division 1.3)
-very dependant on sponsors.. players do not decrease in value, so after a few seasons cannot regain much money spent on them

Ways of increasing Income
There are a few main incomes which are constant
1. Sponsorship income
2. Match attendance income
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
1. Sponsorship income
This money is dependant on a few things
-Your teams ranking (on your club page)
-Your fanclub size (in office)
-Your fan mood (lowest mood = ~5% lower/higher income per level change of mood)
and also the totals of these 3 things of all 8 teams in your league.
IRELANDS RANKING LIST
on that page you can see the ranking of all teams in every division in ireland. clearly the premier division has the best teams and that is why the top clubs get an income of ~220 000 $ per week.
(their wages, coaches etc are much higher, so this is spent quite easily)
if you compare yourself to other clubs in your league, you can guess that if they are higher here than you, they are on higher incomes.
As (current) second highest on this ranking list, i earn 161 209 $ per week from sponsors. Other teams are similar even with lower rankings, as they have bigger fanclubs etc..
Also the division 01.03 has a lot of strong teams competeing, so we do get a bit higher incomes than other teams..
Simple ways to improve this are
-arrange easy friendlies vs similar ranking teams - this allows you to improve your ranking, and fan mood.
look at their past friendly matches. check their average rating, see if your second team can probably beat them and take them on!
there are always teams looking for friendlies, some train 11 pace players, and have very poor team. make a profit on this with a big win and a big jump :)

2. Match attendance income
What you do every week is play a match. you have 7 home games per season, a possible qualification match, and also at least 1 cup game at home.
League games you get 100% of gate income.
Cup and qualifiers, its split 50/50 between both teams
For expansion of your stadium it takes ~2 seasons for it to pay for itself from these games.
this means after this, every penny you earn is profit.
for deciding the size of your stadium a simple but efficient way to do it is find your fanclub size (in office) and multiply that number by 15.
so my fanclub is 1700 members. x15 = 25 500 places i should have. i currently have 26700 as i allowed for my fanclub to increase when i last expanded..
that number is just a guideline, if you are in a strong division where there are lots of good teams, build it higher, if not, dont.
Both these factors, when used right, can be made to give you a big boost to income. and once again it helps in future. the better you improve them now, the better off you will be!

In realtion to this line "-changes year in year out. a player now might be worth very little in a few seasons time. even if he didnt age!"
How can a player not age?
Can you teach me that trick?

Can you teach me that trick?
i mean a similar player in 2 seasons time will be worth different money.. just phrased it confusingly.. or so i assume anyway.. didnt read back over it to see what context i used it in, thats my guess though
