Subject: NT with coach Attila
This is what the statistics currently show in our WCQ group:
Average individual marks:
80.9 Türkiye
78.2 Colombia
70.2 Honduras and India
69.8 Ecuador
62.8 Cameroun
First squad average value
549 445 239 Ft Türkiye
497 451 852 Ft Colombia
417 062 223 Ft Ecuador
411 556 819 Ft Honduras
363 974 510 Ft India
283 617 022 Ft Cameroun
It is clear that, despite our better world ranking, Honduras and Ecuador are teams of equal strength to the Indian national team. Moreover, it should also be seen that the value of India's players is lower than that of the other 4 teams in our group, only our team is more valuable than the national team of Cameroon.

Unfortunately, during the period of the previous NT coach, we had many, many seasons where the right players did not develop for senior NT. The 25-29 year-old player is rare in the current 37-man national team roster. The reason for this was that the aging players from the U21 were not followed up for many seasons, many of them ended up in the wrong place/club, did not receive training, so they had no chance to develop to the level required in the senior NT.
Fortunately, the roster of 22-24 year-olds is relatively large, thanks to the fact that, in addition to 3 Indian users (mainly Hoodibaba and KautukP), 3 Hungarians also train Indian players (primarily thanks to Bonanza), and we have been monitoring the development of the players who have aged out of U21 for a few seasons now.
Personally, I am still a supporter of the fact that if someone is NT (or U21) coach in a country with few users, then it is very important that he, as a NT coach, trains players for his national team. Unfortunately, the previous NT coach could only complain, but he himself did not training any Indian players.

Colombia - India 5-0
I am very sad that again the result is a simple defeat against Colombia. This is actually the reality. Now I just looked at the strength and value of Colombian strikers, based on this it is understandable that this is the difference.
I'm not explaining. Everyone can see (I published the list in this closed forum) how narrow the choice is in midfield and forwards. We would be good at goalkeepers, we are weaker there now due to Chandramouli hopeless (1) form and Meenakshisundaram injurie (also due to Tarit low pace).
I see that in 4 seasons the Indian national team will be a strong team again. Until then, there are two options: or we will continue to play the same 15-16 players in every match. Or we open up the opportunity to younger players. If I can still get your trust (despite the bad results), then I want to upgrade in the midfield next season. Younger players will benefit from the extra training minutes and the accumulated experience.
Until then, we still have 4 WCQ matches ahead of us in the season. The current 15-16 players will also appear on those (if there is no big drop in form).

I totally understand you, let me tell you something about Colombia I know from personal perspective. We are really strong now as a result of a long process, everyone helped to get there, look the player I’m selling and he is no even a top 10 of U25 strikers, this match Domo couldn’t use two important players because of injuries. Right now only 4 players are below 80 rating, and the next two seasons Colombia will be even stronger. About u21 look at the results, we even made it to semifinals, and there are juniors coming soon even stronger.
What I can advise is to keep following important players but also try always to lineup the best of the NT, because ranking will always be important. You have a lot of knowledge about coming youth players, and hopefully they will get better and better, just be patient. For now you count with my friends to keep training our players, and keep them close. This is just work of everyone, we all need to help, and the outcomes will give us satisfaction of the good work done.

Yes I agree with Eguaro. This is why Przemo stepped down, he knew we didn't have much of a team now.
We have to keep playing our best players regardless of age.
There will be many losses but in 3 seasons you will see a big change

The world ranking score is really important. Unfortunately, in the case of several national teams, the current ranking is not realistic, because the developing teams are already much stronger. Unfortunately, India is in the opposite situation at the moment, we have a higher ranking score and a better ranking, but our team is weakening (or not getting stronger), because of this we are losing more ranking points than is realistic. Thank you for your supportive words as well.
I am showing the current lists of national team players. The values are given in Hungarian forints - 4 forints = 1 Rs.
Goalkeepers:
If we only look at skills (GK, Pace, Pass), the best would be Chandramouli - unfortunately form also matters a lot, so based on value (which includes form) Meenakshisundaram is the best.
Tarit receives Pace training for a long time, which is why her team bought Rózsakert at my request. I know from Lavanya's owner that he is training for GK skill, this is also good news for the future.
At least uch skills would be needed for a successful national team: GK 17, Pace 15
Defenders:
The situation is most favorable for defenders. I can count not only on the players who are already 30+ years old, but Zev, Yashodhan and Munusamy (as well as Rochan, Lanka and others) are still in their developing years and they will guarantee continuous quality in the defense in the coming seasons. However, we have a shortcoming here as well, which puts us behind the national teams that are better than us and even of similar strength: this is the lack of additional skills, especially technique. Interesting fact: only Sumanna would be a defender whose additional skills are fine (tech, PM, pass), but unfortunately, for reasons of necessity, Sumanna has to play as a midfielder - because he is the one we have the biggest shortage of players.
KautukP wrote about the importance of height when we conceded headers against the Swedes. Well, the fact is that the tallest of our goalkeepers is Chandramouli, who is 181 cm.
Among the defenders, the tallest Nachik, who is 182 cm. So we don't have a lot of opportunities to have tall players in defense to stop tall strikers from heading.
At least uch skills would be needed for a successful national team: DEF 17, Pace 17, Tech 12, PM 10, Pass 10
Midfielders:
This part of the team is the worst right now. If Sumanna didn't play here out of necessity (but as a defender, where he would have the best place), then we would have only 2 players who are roughly competitive in a NT match: Nitu and Saidullah. It is true that even these 2 players are not fast enough compared to the rival national teams. The 4th "best midfielder" is Phadkar, who I put on the MID list only because there is no one better than him for the 4th spot.
However, this part of the team, the midfielders, is where the young players develop with great strength. It is primarily to Bonanza's credit that he has been helping me train players for midfield for many seasons, since my beginning of the U21. This is the most difficult part of the team to train, where you need at least 4 skills (Pace, Tech, PM, Pass) (+1 for defense). So there will be a significant improvement here compared to the very bad situation now, as in 2-3 seasons we will have competitive midfielders: Suresh, Saini, Surnilla, Gawli and there is also Subbarayan, who will become a midfielder from a defender. Nikhil and Anees could still be counted here, but their owners do not answer my questions.
At least uch skills would be needed for a successful national team: PM 15, Pass 15, Pace 15, Tech 13 (Def 11)
Strikers:
I couldn't find out Panji's skills. Subbarayan is our best striker, but he is also not fast enough compared to the strikers of stronger national teams. I think it would be essential for the strikers to have at least 2-3 strikers in our national team whose 3 main skills reach 50 points - we don't have 1 at the moment... Sundaramoorthy is still developing a bit, and the future strikers are Engineer and Satwant. I train the latter two. Maybe Najeeb can still be counted on in the future if he develops.
At least uch skills would be needed for a successful national team: Pace 16, Tech 17, Striker 17
Others - Players who are not yet (or already) good enough for the national team level:
I am curious about your opinion on how you see what I have written.

After the disastrously poor WCQ series behind me, can I get more confidence from you to continue leading the Indian national team? If you think that someone else could achieve better results with this team, then I will accept the decision and pass the position.
Thanks for the detailed summary.
You can't do much if you don't have players with good skills.
It must be very frustrating for you as well to inherit such a team and must be difficult to motivate yourself.
Sadly I think it will be another 2 seasons before we can really compete like we did 2 seasons ago and become giant killers once again.
Let's use this time to regroup, strategise and select only the best players to train. Currently I am only giving Indian players advanced training.
I am also training multiple disciplines at the moment so that these 10 Indian players get the best training possible specially suited for them.
This week my Defs are training defending, Mids are training passing, GK and Att are training pace.

You couldn't have done much with this squad so don't worry too much about the results.
Thank you for your answer.
I'd like to continue working for India NT. Difficult seasons are coming, but I am confident that the trained younger players will continue to improve and help the strength of NT.
