Subject: Potential U21 WC squad next season
- 1
So i want to revive this forum, for talks about players, only to be seen in community.
This start post will contain the squad rooster for next seasons U21 WC with age this season (let me forever be in shame if i cant qualify from this group)
GK (GK x 2, pace x 1, pass x 0,5):
1st. Dan Blake, 20 yo, 47 points (Philly) training plans told
2nd Jeremy Graham, 19 yo, 38 points (foreign owner)
3rd and 4th pick are relatively weak, so lets hope there will be no emergency
DEF (Pace and Def x2, tech x1, pm and pass 0,5):
Stuart Ishida 20 yo, 64 points (mangol) trained as def
Todd Hassan, 20 yo, 60,5 points (philly) (also currently good as striker and could even be mid) owner contacted for getting to know plans of being def or striker (or what his thoughts are). Owner initially said he could start def training
Lucas Baveas 20 yo 58 points foreign owner (argentine u21 coach), has agreed to train him as defender, even he looks mid now
Brodie Galan 20 yo 56 points majortinkle, read more under MIDs
Graeme Paevlich 20 yo, 53,5 points, foreign owner, needs def a bit more then pace, but both needed, owner contacted asking about training plans
Kyle Carter 19 yo, 52,5 points vivski, will be trained in def, should be ready
José Snowball, 19 yo, 52,5 points vampyr, will get training for def position optimized
Lucas Stevens 20 yo, 45,5 points
Corey Neal 19 yo, 44,5 points, (foreign owner) (badly need pace) owner contacted in hope of getting pace from now
MID (Pace+Pass+PM 1,5, tech 1, def 0,5):
Brodie Galan, 20 yo, 59 points majortinkle, training plans told
Jamal Livermore, 19 yo, 57,5 points Din0, owner told he cant train some def initially, will be purely mid trained
Lucas Baveas, 20 yo, 57 points foreign owner, agreed to be trained as def
Stuart Ishida, 20 yo, 56 points, mangol, look for description under DEFs (has pretty low pass)
Gareth Peake, 20 yo, 55 points oscar, contacted to hear training plans, is somewhat rounded, but need pass or in general left side mostly
Todd Hassan, 20 yo, 55 points philly, look for description under DEFs
Close but probably no cigar:
Rory Barrett, age 20, 52 points, agbell, has the potential to still get there, as his tech can be trained really fast the first levels he will receive, but i doubt it, i told the owner about his chances
Christian Van Steeden, age 19, 49,5 points
ATT (Pace+Tech+Striker x2, def x 0,5, pm+pass x 0,25):
Tim Waite, 20 yo, 71 points vampyr
Stuart Ishida, 20 yo, 69,5 points mangol, owner contacted hearing if he could be def, but im starting to wonder if only Ishida should be made it, and Hassan striker, or vice versa considering the owners feelings (or both defs or both atts, its up to the owner from this point on), more descriptions under DEFs
Todd Hassan, 20 yo, 68,25 philly, owner contacted hearing if he could be def, but im starting to wonder if only Ishida should be made it, and Hassan striker, or vice versa considering the owners feelings (or both defs or both atts, its up to the owner from this point on), more descriptions under DEFs
David Hutchinson, 20 yo, 63,25, agbell
Neil Johnston, 20 yo, 62,75 cometer, contacted that he is in the running for the WC squad asking him for training plans (has closer to Ishida and Hassan in striker points, but no secondaries like them)
Blake Gunning, 20 yo, 62,5 points
Bernd Maclaren, 18 yo, 54,75 mangol, owner contacted that the player because of pace high and tech extremely low, can be really fast in the picture of u21 minutes if trained in tech and after that a bit striker, he could gain 8 points (in the formula i use) in the matter 6-8 trainings in tech (has closer to Ishida and Hassan in striker if you consider age (by far), but no secondaries like them)
This site is a work in progress..... everything i suggest, is only suggestions...... all owners and people interested in the U21, please join the debate..... i will only update the first post when regarding changes and decisions of owners.
Sincerely
adaca

So top 6 mids are the same as top 5 defs -.- And top 2 defs are in top 3 strikers...... trololol..... very similar players.... decisions need to be made soon if we want a strong world cup rooster
Sorry to hear you have been unwell, hope you get on the right treatment and better soon
thx, i havent been super ill luckily, the hepatitis B can be severe, but luckily i never drink, so i havent done damage before finding out
Yeah getting on to it early is key and then it can be treated.
As far as next seasons players, going off my end of season database (which wouldn't be far out of date), these are probably my suggestions for those that could play in a number of positions
Ishida - defender. would make a decent striker but I think his strength is def. Would aim to train for senior representation
Hassan - defender - another where it seems a waste with his striker but he isn't a standout striker but a very useful def, aim for senior representation but may come up short. Could certainly ask for an earlier move to def training.
Livermore - midfielder - a well rounded beast. Train for seniors, so get pace going now, he will random to acceptable levels in tech and PM. Passing may need some finishing off to get to VG/Exc just before he hits 21. Would be a waste not to get that pace to Magical ASAP given his future potential
Baveas - Midfielder - he isn't a standout defender but he is high on the MID list. In saying that, in the age group above, Sekulovski and Boutsianis are well ahead, so he won't catch them for senior honours, in the age below Livermore/Hooker/Van Steeden should be better, so he probably won't be a senior MID in the future. Even within his own age group, Galan is better and Peake is a more obvious MID of similar level so...I can see him going either way
Galan - Midfielder - Top mid for his age, if trained well, could be in the running for seniors one day. Isn't that great as far as a defender long term
Carter - Defender - he isn't a top notch MID but he would have decent secondaries for a Defender of his age. Yeah Def is low now, but assuming he randoms to Good, train pace this season, then next season aim for 4 pace pops (Formidable by start of season) and train def until out of the world cup, then move back to pace.
Peake - Midfielder - I know it leaves us a bit short on DEF, but his skills do look more like a MID
McLaren - striker, could be a superstar so train for seniors rather than u21s
A lot of the above probably need to be focused on for seniors rather than making superstar u21s, but that doesn't mean a little fine tuning can't be done.
Ones that really jump out as training for seniors (ie get pace up higher than would normally like early) would be (and training advice I'd give if I were u21 coach - may be a bit different to the above because I forgot earlier most are 20yo now):
Ishida (20) - Pace until Magical then Defender until out of group stage next season then pace
Livermore (19)- Pace for the rest of the season then Pass to Excellent, then tech to Exc then back to pace
Galan (20) - Pace til outs, Pass to Exc, Tech to Exc then back to pace
Carter (19) - Pace until Magical, then def to Formi, then back to Pace
McLaren (18) - Pace until Unearthly (which he will get to probably by the end of season/early next season) then train technique until Unearthly
I hope this is all taken as it is written, just as an opinion based on the knowledge I have, rather than any sort of managing of players. I think most of what I have written has actually agreed with what you wrote.

We agree on most parts. Except i think for those meant for seniors, pace to brilliant, position training then, second half of season age 21 (out of wc or last part of qual) pace to unearthly is a fair given call. I reckon its like 1-2 trainings max lost, but if we want to be a top 32 over the long run and have good runs in the world cup. Those 5-6 skills more at their position weaknesses is such low price and is a good call..... also if trained too unbalanced, they would get less u21 xp and training minutes

Yeah there definitely has to be some fluidity and that depends on a number of things (if we qualify, what the reserves are like, whether players are actually likely to represent Senior NT, the players around them, who we are coming up against, how easy the manager training them is to deal with or how responsive they are to changes in training etc. )
Even last season I had to ask for a couple of players to get stamina training. Small price to pay given it was the best ever season we had as a country.

I will only use this thread for personal usage of training plans and info not to be seen publically
i do this since some cant get access, so i put threads up in public forum instead, just giving numbers only

Lol .... im going to erase the starting post then, when found proper place later tonight
Stevens (def) should be back from injury for Friday’s friendly, & training next week (pace for now).
Could you try get him to 11 pace, then def training..... there isnt much senior career for him
