My name is Cristi Dinu, I am 38 years old and I am from Slatina. In real life I am a police officer. I have been playing sokker since 2006, so I have some experience in this game. In the last 18 seasons I worked close to the Romanian national team (first as a scout, then as an assistant U21 coach, U21 coach and finally as a senior team coach). At the same time, for 2 seasons I was the Israel U21 coach and for several seasons I led the senior team of Sweden, which I took from the 36th position in the world and I left it on the 11th position in the world.

As performances in sokker, except for the internal competitions, I am a double world champion with Romania U21.
This season I led Romania's senior team to the World Championship. In qualifying, the team was led by another coach, but he withdrew due to lack of time and asked me to take over the work he had started. I accepted even though the world championship started immediately and I didn't have many chances to experience certain tactics. The result at this recently concluded world championship was not the one expected by the community and me, but in the life of any selector it can happen to have a period without inspiration and to make certain choices that later turned out to be wrong.

As for the club team, my team is currently under reconstruction ... so I have time for this position.

We have already studied the players, to make some opinions about our chances. Brazil deserves a better place in the world rankings and I have the necessary motivation to prove that the result from the recently concluded world championship was just a coincidence.

É hora de novas eleições e talvez de um novo seletor aqui.

Meu nome é Cristi Dinu, tenho 38 anos e sou de Slatina. Na vida real, sou um policial. Jogo sokker desde 2006, então tenho alguma experiência neste jogo. Nas últimas 18 temporadas, trabalhei próximo à seleção romena (primeiro como olheiro, depois como treinador adjunto de Sub-21, treinador de Sub-21 e, finalmente, como treinador de equipa sénior). Ao mesmo tempo, por 2 temporadas fui o treinador de Israel Sub-21 e por várias temporadas liderei a seleção principal da Suécia, que tirei da 36ª posição no mundo e a deixei na 11ª posição no mundo.

Como atuações no sokker, exceto nas competições internas, sou bicampeão mundial com a Romênia Sub-21.
Nesta temporada, conduzi a seleção principal da Romênia ao Campeonato Mundial. Na qualificação, a equipa era comandada por outro treinador, mas este desistiu por falta de tempo e pediu-me para retomar o trabalho que tinha começado. Aceitei mesmo sabendo que o campeonato mundial começou imediatamente e não tive muitas chances de experimentar certas táticas. O resultado neste campeonato mundial recentemente concluído não foi o esperado pela comunidade e por mim, mas na vida de qualquer seletor pode acontecer de ter um período sem inspiração e de fazer certas escolhas que depois se revelaram erradas.

Quanto à equipa do clube, a minha equipa está em reconstrução ... por isso tenho tempo para esta posição.

Já estudamos os jogadores, para dar algumas opiniões sobre as nossas chances. O Brasil merece uma posição melhor no ranking mundial e tenho a motivação necessária para provar que o resultado do campeonato mundial recém-concluído foi mera coincidência.

I will start with 3 questions....

First is how you see Brazil in this WCQ Group.

Second is how you see yourself as a coach, since I believe the best method of self-criticism is to see our strengths and weaknesses ourselves, so I'd like to see this answer.

And third is since you are more famous in the community for your job as a U21 coach, what differences you see between U21 and Senior and if this differences was a problem for you.

1. Brazil is in an accessible group, some would say, but if you don't take every opponent seriously you will have unpleasant surprises ... anyway, there is no question of qualification, that's clear

2. I see that everyone plays in the system 5 defenders, 2 midfielders, one winger and 2 strikers, as if they are clones and I don't like that

I don't like to play with 5 defenders, although that's how I won the last U21 World Cup, I prefer the game with 4 retired defenders

in seniors the players are more skilful than in U21 and the possession game is my favorite

as a weak point I would say that I have a problem when I play with advanced defense ... another weak point is the inspiration I have in choosing goalkeepers, I have always received many goals on few occasions

3. the difference is that in seniors you have more skilful players and this allows you to play almost any system you want ... instead in juniors where the players are in training you can't play what you want, you have to adapt your tactics to the players that you have at your disposal

I can't say that I had a problem adapting to seniors, only that I didn't have time to test certain things and to adapt my tactics to the group of players I had at my disposal because I entered the World Cup matches directly

and the fact that you have too many options in the group of players in some positions on the field can sometimes cause you problems because you waste a lot of time thinking about which is the best choice instead of focusing on other more important things.

for example in Sweden I didn't have too many options to choose from for a certain position on the field and this made my job easier, I knew what the first 11 was and I had time to focus on other more important things related to the game and the opponent's tactics.

I couldn't accept Croatia's invitation to play a friendly match, it's the first time in my coaching career when I haven't set a match friendly for the national team, I also lost the training for the club team because I did not log in to put 11 players on the field.
