Aanstaande zaterdag spelen de Belgen voor de tweede week op rij op verplaatsing. Na het gelijkspel in Kroatië vorige week, proberen de Duivels nu om Australië, momenteel 34ste op de Sokker-wereldranglijst, te verslaan.
Een korte introductie van Australië moet mijns inziens niet meer worden gegeven gezien dat hier in de goede oude tijd al werd gedaan. Ik hoef jullie niet te vertellen dat het verleden bij vele oudgedienden van dit forum knaagt. Daarom in volgende alinea: Sokker Australië in de goede oude Sokker-tijd.
Het nationale team van Australië op Sokker werd als één van de eersten binnen het spel opgericht. Getuige hiervan is het stamnummer van het senior-NT: 6. (Voor de recentere leden: Polen was het eerste nationale team dat werd opgericht, vandaar dat zij stamnummer 1 heeft. Nederland werd voor België opgericht, zij hebben stamnummer 12, wij 28). In 2005 speelden de Belgen voor de eerste keer tegen Australië. En België won! Met maar liefst 9-0 werd Australië ingeblikt. Ik was er toen nog niet bij, maar de toenmalige doelman, Arne Bennesteker heb ik wel nog gekend. En ja, Bennesteker 'leeft' nog steeds... Ik herinner me geen Belgische bondscoaches van Australië, maar van buurland Nieuw-Zeeland waren Cerb & Griever in ieder geval wél bondscoach.
Vooraleer men verwijt dat ik in’t verleden leef gaan we over tot wat randinfo rond de volgende wedstrijd. De bondscoach van Australië is Wo-10. Hij is afkomstig uit Tsjechië, en volgde begin vorige week borkos007 op. Zijn eerste wedstrijd liep alvast goed af: in een strijd met Commonwealth-vriend Canada won Australië overtuigend met 1-4. Het moet wel gezegd: Canada en Australië zijn – zonder tegenwerking van de match-engine – beduidend minder sterk dan ons land (Australië haalde vorige wedstrijd een rating van 75,8). Icoon Scott Stephenson mag dan wel op pensioen zijn, de aanvallers van Australië blijven toch te duchten. Luke Barnes scoorde al 150 doelpunten voor de nationale ploeg van Australië, maar verkeert in een vormcrisis. Mason Giannakopoulos daarentegen is wel in topvorm (met 3 doelpunten vorige week tegen Canada).
Belgen, verenigt u, want eendracht maakt macht!

Pure tactically, you did not deserve the victory. But congrats!

If we did not get a red card you should big problems! If I had two wings, we would played on the width of the pitch and you would not resist.
I am very disappointed, because you are weak tactician . I showed you that one must not be afraid.
Enjoy the points because sokker will win you those points with a red card.

I understand your frustration.
It is always unfair to lose because of external events.
However it is not a valid reason for insulting people.
I don't know if we would have lost without the red card but indeed this tactic was not brillant. (nobody can tell anything with if's)
We are experimenting a lot at the moment and sometimes, not all experiments are successful.
I believe everybody is trying to understand the logic of this new engine.
To be honest with you, I was not convinced by this tactic but so many people suggested a 4 defensive line with a diamond positioned midfield and far isolated attackers that I gave it a try.
Moreover you don't know the background history of our situation and how we ended up using this tactic.
Sokker is just like this. Sometimes you deserve victory (like us last week), sometimes you don't deserve it. (like probably today)

I don't know if we would have lost without the red card but indeed this tactic was not brillant. (nobody can tell anything with if's)

well ... nonetheless, silly reaction from their coach. And tbh, I doubt the red card is the reason for their loss. Most of our attacks came from Dhuinslagher's side, which is not the place where the red card was given, nor where the players was removed to sub as central defender.

but it is obvious that in terms of game construction, we were nowhere and, as you said before the game, keeping the Midfield line too far away from attack line results in sterile ball possession.
Not the only point to improve but definitely one of the most important to tackle before big matches. :)

Maybe I overdid it a bit (ok, sorry) .. but it's true what I said.
I think you are very predictable. But the defense was built good. You should try to be more creative. You use the same style of tactics.

Do you even think about what you type before you type it? .. How can he be predictable when it's only his second NT game and the tactic is obviously different from the first one..
Anyway, looking at the game statistics, it doesn't look like we stole our victory today..
