He's tall so ... could be ... even if it would be a hard work to make him a decent midfielder.
Imo it depens on his talent and on your training team.
For sure, to be a competent midfielder he should increase his skills in technique also...
Probably, it would be better test his talent and then try to sell him.

Personally I would try to sell him at once (solid passing is a good attractive for extimators of new playing engine) ; if don't succed in I would fire him.
