Hallo,

I am managing the U21 of Pilipinas (and I am also interested in managing the NT, but not now, perhaps in 2-3 seasons).
I use to make some questions to the candidates in the elections. The questions are allways common to all candidates. Feel free to express your thoughts - I just want to learn some more things about you; I suppose we will communicate more frequently the next 16 weeks... :)

So, question number 1:
What are your biggest achievements in sokker? (Please be clear and precise)

Question number 2:
Which are your strengths in the game? Why should somebody vote for you?

Question number 3:
Which do you think are the strengths of the other candidate?

Question number 4:
Will you participate in the [NT] Mini World Cup ?

Question number 5:
Some players do not have the expected progress after leaving the U21. Perhaps they don´t get individual training anymore. Will you do something about it?

Question number 6:
What are you training with your own team and would you train one or more players from Pilipinas in your team?

Final question number 7:
Did you had fun by answering this questions? Please rate your fun-factor by a number between 1 (nightmare) and 10 (feeling funny and excited, like a child feels while it is feeding ducks!)

Other than looking for replacements for the aging players and looking for trainers, what are your goals for this season, if you win the elections? and how would you prioritize them?

This may include the plan for matches for the season (are you planning to join a tournament, play against weaker or stronger teams, etc.), play with younger players vs playing with the veterans.

Thank you for your interest in my candidacy. I feel more than happy to answer all of your questions.

Ad. 1
My biggest achievement in sokker is definitely being given the chance to conduct the NT of Pilipinas. This means a lot to me - is that a better feeling than knowing someone puts his trust in you and believes you can change something?
The other achievement, connected directly to my work with club players, is reaching II liga (2nd Polish division) and quarterfinals in Puchar Polski (Polish Cup). In my first season in II liga I ended up on 3rd place with not so huge point gap between me and the 1st place.

Ad. 2
I am a very commited person. I don't like leaving things unended. I mostly work alone, so I'm really short on time sometimes. Although, I always have the time to work on the tactics, search for new players and get in touch with other managers to get the information about the players I'm interested in.

Ad. 3
I don't know the other candidate. Of course, it doesn't mean I do not want to get to know him. Maybe we can help each other by working together for the NT.

Ad. 4
In my opinion, this is not a good idea. I prefer playing friendlies with different teams, mostly with ones whose ratings are similar to ours. In the Mini WC there is lots of stronger teams which would crash us. At this point I want to focus on winning as many games as possible to gain more points in the standings.

Ad. 5
It is obvious that the players who do have potential are essential in developing the senior NT. Some of the first squad players are reaching age of 30 or are even above that age. I can tell by looking at the NTDB that this season and maybe 2-3 next ones are crushial. We need to carefully start replacing the older players with the ones who recently played for the U21 NT. I want to contact the managers of the players and get some information on their training plans for the players I consider relevant. I want to give them tips and my expectations or ask them to find new clubs for youngsters.

Ad. 6
I've been training defenders for a a long time now. I also have one player from Pilipinas who is a leader in my defensive line and probably will be in the NT in the next 6-7 seasons. My club is always open for young Pinoys who need defending training.

My priority is to win as many matches as possible. We need to climb up the rankings. I'm not gonna confront only with weaker teams - these games are for the youngest players to get more training and for me to familarize with their talents.
I'm not gonna join Mini WC if that's what you're asking. Maybe if there were some smaller tournaments with teams whose ratings are close to ours, I might consider participating. This season in not to get a lesson by being beaten till collapse but to gather points to the standings to provide us a better start in the WC-Qualifications.
I want to give many chances to the players who are still growing. They need it considering the fact that they are gonna be the NT strenght in the nearest future. I think this is the time to let the veterans go and call them up only when there will be no other resolution (e.g. injuries, low form).

As for now, I decided not to participate in the elections and give a chance to work with the NT some other coaches. Although, if there isn't a suitable candidate untill next monday, I will put my name on the candidate list.
