Subject: [NTU21] Tsolias
Hello friends
my name is Kostas, I am 41 years old and I am teacher. I lived in Nurenberg in Germany and for the last 7 years I live in Athens Greece. I am greek.
I heard for first time of my life about Plipinas when I was a little child. Benigno Aquino, Ferdinand Marcos and Corazon Aquino where the person I still remember.
Last time I heared about Pilipinas was here, in the Forum of sokker. It was a posting about a vacant place for the national team o Pilipinas. As I decided not to candidate for the greek U21 team (the current couch is succesfull), I decided to give my best for the Philipinas U21 team.
Here are some sokker-facts about me:
I started playing sokker in 2007.
In the first years I made all possible mistakes, so I learned a lot!
2010 I changed the name of my team and started to be more precise. Since then, everything in the game got better.
In the last three seasons I had a lot of fun, because I made some big wins against teams, with more strength points (ca. 61) than my team (ca. 50). Thats why an opponent of my team (sandro berlin) called me "Favoritenschreck" (giant killer)
I also won 3 times in a row with my junior team the 2nd place in the 1st german juniorsleague.
I prefer in my squad technical high skilled players and form is also a basic factor to decide if someone plays or not. I prefer to play 5-2-3 or 3-5-2, but it also depends on the opponent. I carefully prepare my tactical advices before each game.
For further information, don´t hesitate to ask me here.
I hope and I ask you to support my candidacy with your vote.
Best regars,
Kostas, aka Tsolias,
looking forward to have fun together and celebrate big wins!

I understand that it may be difficult for you to decide to give your vote for me, especially when:
1.) it´s the first time you hear of me
2.) there is no big activity in the U21 thread (in the last three months there were postings only from the coach and 2 other users)
3.) there is another candidating person (dziduka) who has also good results (wins against stronger teams)
I react on these three points by the following:
1.) I wrote some things about me and now I write something more :-)
If you want, feel free to put some new questions. Just write what you believe, what you want.
Next point (forum activity):
2.) I interprete this point as lack of motivation. So I will try on the next lines to bring some new motivation.
I believe that you play this game and have fun.
Through the U21 you can get more fun. How is it possible?
If your young players participate in an U21 game, they develop faster. They get better, so your own team gets better.
I share with you my experience with my own junior team:
- On 6/2012 I started to be more carefull with my juniors. I hided an outstanding (12) coach and payed 112.000 P + 192.000 P (for 30 junior places in academy) = 304.000 P a week * 15 weeks = 4.560.000 P for a season total expances (wages and academy).
I saled some academy players and got only 500.000 P.
I had a minus of 4.000.000 P, a good academy with promising players (and with the right tactic I promoted from the 4th to the 3rd juniorleague).
- Next season (9-12/2012) I decided to invest more. So I sold my best young player for 11.000.000 P in order to get a brilliant (14) coach, in order to develop the talent of my players faster.
the costs were 185.000 P (bril.coach) + 192.000 P (academy) = 377.000 P (week) * 15 weeks = 5.660.000 P (season).
From the talents I soled I earned 3.200.000 P.
A new minus of 2.440.000 P. But (!) I keeped some promising talents on my team to develop. Their saleing value would be arround 6.500.000 P - exact hte same amount I had loss (and I promoted from the 3rd category to the 2nd).
- After this season I made only positive balances from junior academy (and promoted again to the 1st juniorslague). I earn more money from sellings, than investing in sallary and academy.
Step by step I fixed my finances. My trainng team has 3 magical (15) and 2 brilliant (14) coaches. My players develop faster and they are still very young. Now I sell only on the beginn of each season the players I plan to sell and keep the best on my team.
Why do I write all those things?
a) You can have more fun with the game by investing in junioracademy.
b) The Pilipinas U21 team will have more options and this will make me happier
c) I like to share my knowledge and my experiences
Finally, the 3rd point (other candidate):
3.) I respect him and I still believe I am the better option for You. :-)
For the end, something I want to share with you:
In other countries users play a bet game and in the end of the season, the winner nominates a player for a friendly (remember, players who play in U21 train more -> develop faster).
According to my plan, in the first 3 friendly games, one player will be nominated by the users of this Forum. If this game brings fun, then it will be continued.
Have fun,
Kostas (aka Tsolias)

Hallo again,
Here is some update:
- I had some friendly offers in the last days (from Israel, Cameroon, Andorra). I gave all the same answer. Let us wait until coming Sunday. There is also a tournament (mini world cup) to be organized - but the tournament modus is still unknown...
The only friendly that had to be arranged for now, for week 0, has been arranged by current U21 coach Torquemada (and I am thankfull) against Malta.
- And now the main point of this posting, that affects all U21 players from Pilipinas:
The qualification games for the next U21 WC will be the season after the following. Only players who are now U20 will be alloud to play for the qualification games. I will focus on them.
Players who are 21 years old will play this season only when
-the NT coach (acelio_1216) sees a future for them in the NT
-they have a wild card (according to the last point of my last post - nomination game)
This means, that under my instructions, the coming season, the U21 team will look much more than a U20 team. This makes the team for the current season weaker, and is the best option I see to have a capable team for the qualification.
Have fun,
Kostas (aka Tsolias)

I'm not the NT coach :)
I agree with you using U20 players but don't forget that ranking is important for us so maybe for the first weeks you can play mixed then focus on the U20 on the latter part of the season :)

Thanks for the signalization. I will keep an eye to remain on pot 4 (Nr 49 - Nr 64 / currently Nr. 54) for the QWC draw in the end of the coming season.
Thank you!
Thank you for electing me as your new Pilipinas U21 caach.
It gives me happyness and I will give my best to pay it back.
Everybody who is interested in participating in the project of U21 is welcome!
Yours,

Mister Tsolias, how do you feel after your first game with Pilipinas U21?
First of all I feel gratitude. Gratitude for the 4 people who choosed me to coach their U21-NT and gratitude for coach Acelio who gave me his trust while I had no international experience.
Additionaly I want to thank all managers who informed me about the skills of their players, so we could build a capable U21-NT.
Finally I want to express a big "thank you" to rival Cypriot coach Andreas, for taking the initiative for this friendly. It was very important for me to have a test against a team with a capable coach. I followed last season his games with Kypros U21. After the game Kypros vs. Germany U21 I respect him much more.
Did you expect this result?
Unfortunately I know the opponent coach, so I it would not be a surprise for me if Kypros was the winner by 4-0. After a discussion with my cypriot associate, I was informed, that he will play with only four 21years old players, so the gap between the two teams would shrink. So, before the game I would bet for a close win. Now I am positive surprised by the fact, that the team valued 24 mil P. didn´t gave a single chance to the opponent 32 mil P.-team.
Is this 3-5-2 system, the way Pilipinas will play next games?
I don´t want to make here discussion about systems.
I think that playing with 3 defenders is too risky.
Was it a question? We played the way we could, in order to get this result. There were more than 3 players involved in defence. Have you seen the game? OK, first goal was very funny and lucky - and the rest? Pilipinas dominated the game. Kypros had no real chances. None!
What about the debutants? 6 new players joined this game.
This season we will play at least 10 U20 games. So you will see even more newbies οn the next games.
What is the main strength of the team and what the main difficulties?
The main strength is that all people evolved in this project have fun.
Difficulties? Oh, yes, there is a problem. A manager sent me an SK-mail two days before the game and begged me to let a player of him play as wingback. Ha, you think I´m serious? I was just kidding! :P
There are some usual difficulties and we have our concepts. The only think I wish is that I will find a way to motivate the Pilipinas community to expand and to invest more money on coaches and juniors.
Future plans?
Investment in the team, that will lead us to the world cup finals and perhaps a mentoring plan for new sokkerusers in Pilipinas. Thank you!

Mister Tsolias, how do you feel after your first loosing game with Pilipinas U21?
I took some big risks for my team and we lost. It is my responsibility this result. I knew that Torquemadas team is much better than our team. We could build up a defending wall and hope to keep our sheet clean, or we could take the risk and fight for win. It was my decission to fight.
Did you expect this result?
As I told, I was aware of the risk. I was not surprised by loosing 1:5, but I hoped for a close fight.
Pilipinas played again the same system. Is this 3-5-2 system, the way Pilipinas will play all games?
Definitely no. I wanted to check again some points of this tactic with a stronger opponent and Venezuela was the strong opponent.
We had a nice start by 2 big chances in the first 4 minutes and it was a close game for the first half. In the second half our conditional weakness gave our opponent the chances to score 4 more times...
What about the debutants? You promised more U20 players to join the team and the goalkeeper had his debut this game by getting 5 goals.
Canlas had his debut and played very well according to his current developement. I hope he remains in high form and developes rapidly in pace. I have my plan for 3 new entries next week, in the U20 game against Kypros.
What is the point to keep of this game?
The point is that with this tactic we can play against stronger teams only as long as we are conditionaly fit.
What do we have to expect for the next game?
Sorry, I have to leave now. My dog was hit by a car and needs some care of me. He didn´t broke something, he is very strong, but he is still shocked, like me.
