I noticed today the number of current users from Pilipinas. It changed from 41 to 18. Now Pilipinas is Nr.75 in the list of countries, according to the number of users.
The clearing of the non-active users will give us a clearer view about the strength of Pilipinas NT and U21 in sokker.
On the other hand it can be a new begin to speak to friends about the game we love and tell them, that we would have more fun, if they play too.

For the past months, there has always been around 20 active users in Pilipinas. Half of them are just new users that only logged in for less than a week. Although about 4 teams that have been active are now inactive, and 2 of them have excellent youth schools :(
But we have about 4 relatively new teams that are beginning with their youth schools so hopefully we'll get new youths and trainers :)

Mr Tsolias, what about the game?
I know that some people in Pilipinas may feel disappointed by the result. I also want to win any game.
But there is allways another point of view, that can give hope to any fan of Pilipinas U21 national team.
First, we had a testgame and we played with 2 different tactics in each half. On the first half we lost, on the second half we managed to keep our sheet clean with the 5-3-2 tactic against a team wich attacked suprisingly with 4 players.
Second, we played on attack with our future 19 and 20 year old players and Cameroon had an excellent 21 year old keeper, whose value is more than 7 million P. We had our chances, we won a penalty, and our attackers still lack in experience. This is something that will be much better next season.
Are you staisfied by the way your team attacked?
On the first half we should play with more attacks through the wings. It didn´t worked. Eventhough, we had some great chances. On the second half most things went as planed; the goal was missing. In general I am not stisfied, we have to test more the winger attacks.
What about the defence?
For the first half tactic, there is something to do, especially on the left side. Even on the right side there were problems, but they existed because of the law defence skill of our defender. Cameroon could have score more goals.
About the second half tactic, I am far satisfied. The opponents had only 2 close chances to score - every other chance was a shoot from a far position.
What about the lost penalty?
Manuyong has still my full support. He is only 19 years old, he can only get better.
What about the first goal, the owngoal?
Booc tried to kick the ball away. This can happen. He is a great 20 year old player. The problem started with Kabaong. I knew that his defence skill is law and I choosed him because he is very fast. Both goals were his faults - It was my responsibility, that he plays. If he improves in defence, he will be a valuable member next season.
What to keep from this game?
Keep an eye open to the 21 year old players, who leave the team.
Melvin Sudiacal, Macario Infante, Cesar Tudtud, Hidalgo Macatunao are some of them.
Keep also an eye to Ron-Jay Dulce, because of his speed.
Ezequiel Catubig is a player who improved very fast! Big improvements made also Douglas Olalia and Eduardo Andrada.
Finally, Dorian Tanyag will be the only one 21 year old player staying in the U21 team, because he has no manager and he is also a prospect for the national team.
Next game is against Sverige. Any comment?
Sverige played last game with U20. They have an average mark of 49. It will be a great chance for us to see how far we are in competence against stronger teams.

Except, national team coach Acelio insists, that someone has to play, in order to get extra training.

If you've already scheduled all the games as U20 vs U20, it's alright if you play with U20 players for the rest of the season because our U20 teams needs a lot of training. As for Tanyag, I agree with you that he needs to be saved but he doesn't seem to be good enough for the NT especially with all the training he's missing because of the lack of the coach.

I told last week, that it will be a great chance for us to see how far we are in competence against stronger teams. This was a game we could win. We lost. There are still things to do.
What kind of things are still to do?
First of all in the central defence area. This was not the first time our central defenders lost ball and it ended with a goal. The defenders are being monitored and you will have to wait for some more games till you see a right players in this position. We can play with less risks, with no offside trap, but I prefer this kind of defence. It allows us to have a lot of counter attacks and get the opponent attackers tired.
Other things to do?
Well, today we lost more than 10 attacks due to the opponent offside trap. Somebody can say our strikers are unexperienced. Somebody else could say we can modify it, especially when we have the privilege to make 2 striker-substitutions.
What about the change of tactics in the last 20 minutes?
I wanted to play with more risk to get the win. I do not believe it changed something in the game.
What to keep from this game?
Fernando Mangrubang! He is a promising player. I like his long attacking passes and the fact that he is only 18 years old.
Next game is against Honduras. Any comment?
They have played only U21 matches and have an average mark of 41, as our U20 team. Even if they play with U21 against us, we will play with U20 team.

It's a great try and I agree with you that our central defense and the low experience of our forwards (and their offside trap) is the reason why we lost. But other than that, congratulations on a good job :)

First of all I am frustrated. I expected to play against a U20 selection, but opponent coach played with U21.
We played first half with a new tactic. We stopped every attempt of the opponent team and had ou chances. I think our opponents had only one chance, a long shot in minute 39´and umuckily for us, they scored. On the second half we started with a more risky tactic. We had some good chances to win the game and we also gave space to the opponent. I think we could also loose the game if our talented 18 years old goalkeeper Fernando Mangrubang wouldn´t make this super parade on minute 78´.
If you would play the same game again, would you do something different?
Yes. First, Jaime Iporong had big difficulties in controlling the ball. I would position him closer to the goalpost. Second, I would give Ren-Ren Cambay a more offensive role and our debutant Jack Apanapao a more defensive - they would change place.
How's the U20 team?
As I told in the past, most players lack in stamina and in techique. I hope to see them all train stamina on weeks 15, 00 and 01. About technique, this is the team and it is my job to find out tactics to master this handycap.
Any positions that we are currently lacking or really needs improvement?
The team is not ready for the qualification. "In all positions!" would be the answer, if we had to start now. I am monitoring our players and their development. Some of them are making great improvement in the last months and I will invest on them. You will not see the best-in-form players playing. You will see players with talent and improvement in the last months.
Some of them are: Arwind Borje, Frank Manuyong, Ren-Ren Cambay, Rafi Booc, Baltazar Grey, Jack Apanapao. There were also some player tranfers in the last weeks. Especially team F.C. Ace bought some talented players.
As I told, I am monitoring the improvement and I think our team will be ready for qualification.
Any suggestions to the Pilipinas sokker community?
First of all I want to thank you for your interest about players from Pilipinas. There are some teams like F1 RedBull, Real San Rafael C.F. and F.C. Ace, who make great work. Players develop fast in these teams and these teams also buy transfer listed players from Pilipinas, to give them best training.
I think there is one thing to improve. The Training staff. I managed to have 1 head, 3 assistants and 1 juniors coach, all magical[15]. This is something everybody can do in less than 3 seasons. This is the best investment for the future. You only have to dare to sell your best players and invest the money. The result is having better players.
Lastly, a word about coach Acelio. I feel very lucky, that this man shows so big engagement on the game for the sokker community of Pilipinas. I think he has a vision, he has open ears and he has fun - I appreciate it!
Next game is against Hong Kong U20. Any comment?

As I told in the past, most players lack in stamina and in techique. I hope to see them all train stamina on weeks 15, 00 and 01. About technique, this is the team and it is my job to find out tactics to master this handycap.
Any positions that we are currently lacking or really needs improvement?
The team is not ready for the qualification. "In all positions!" would be the answer, if we had to start now. I am monitoring our players and their development. Some of them are making great improvement in the last months and I will invest on them. You will not see the best-in-form players playing. You will see players with talent and improvement in the last months.
Some of them are: Arwind Borje, Frank Manuyong, Ren-Ren Cambay, Rafi Booc, Baltazar Grey, Jack Apanapao. There were also some player tranfers in the last weeks. Especially team F.C. Ace bought some talented players.
As I told, I am monitoring the improvement and I think our team will be ready for qualification.
Any suggestions to the Pilipinas sokker community?
First of all I want to thank you for your interest about players from Pilipinas. There are some teams like F1 RedBull, Real San Rafael C.F. and F.C. Ace, who make great work. Players develop fast in these teams and these teams also buy transfer listed players from Pilipinas, to give them best training.
I think there is one thing to improve. The Training staff. I managed to have 1 head, 3 assistants and 1 juniors coach, all magical[15]. This is something everybody can do in less than 3 seasons. This is the best investment for the future. You only have to dare to sell your best players and invest the money. The result is having better players.
Lastly, a word about coach Acelio. I feel very lucky, that this man shows so big engagement on the game for the sokker community of Pilipinas. I think he has a vision, he has open ears and he has fun - I appreciate it!

Good luck! It's just sad that a lot of the powerhouse teams that provide the best youths for the country are gone :( Hopefully the newly opened youth schools will be able to have nice youth players :)

Till minute 60´we played ts 4-1-3-2. We dominated the game, scored early and won a penalty. The main difference to last weeks game is that the 4th defender, Dimayuga, had playmaking orientation and the two wings had defending orientation.
After minute 60´we used the same tactic as in the winning game against Cyprus, 3-4-3. It is more risky for the defence and it is more creative for the offence. So we scored 2 more goals.
Isn´t it a little risky having the 3rd substitution by 70 minutes? I am asking this, because a lot can happen in 20 minutes.
You are fully right about your concerns. I can reassure you, that in the case that somebody of our 3 central defenders from the backline gets a red card or injured, somebody else from the team gets his position. In this game Dimayuga had this advice. It can also be somebody from the wingbacks. It depends on the attacking style of the opponent team.
Iporong had a terrible match! We were surprised with his performance, especially because his form is magical [15].

We used the same tactics as in game agiast Belarus. The oponent had his first chance in minute 35´ by a far shot and till minute 60´there was only one team on the pitch, this was Pilipinas. After min. 60´we changed from "ts 4-1-3-2" to "ts 3-4-3". Guatemala scored 2 goals and could win the game. As I told, I feel soory about it. It is the last game we played this "ts 3-4-3".

I am very satisfied about his positioning. Both goals were created by Manuyong and Iporong scored. On the other hand, Iporong is still missing very easy the ball.

Once again, I think that playing with 3 defenders is one of the worst things you can do when playing against a stronger team, especially since we don't really have great defenders. Offensively, I think that your tactics are alright. It's just the defense that worries me a bit. It's alright with me if you play with 3 defenders against weaker teams but against teams of the same value or stronger, I prefer that you play with at least 4 defenders :) I guess this is why in the second half, where a midfielder somewhat played as another centerback, gave a cleansheet for the second half :)

Last week I told "I think we can make a surprise, even if Torquemada has much better players". If you see the game, you can see that the team with the bigger chances in the second half was Pilipinas. We could equalise the game and make the surprise.
What does this game mean to you? Do you still believe that Pilipinas may qualify to U21-WC?
This game was a test game. I checked 2 tactics against an opponent who plays with his strikers attacking from the sides. I made my conclusions, so I can finetune my tactics.
And do you still believe that Pilipinas may qualify to U21-WC?
In most of situations I tried to win a game against teams with 10 points more in average mark, I won or I got a draw. If somebody can bring Pilipinas to WC, this is me.
Acelio_1216 accused you in the forum of doing the worst thing you can do, by playing with 3 defenders. What do you have to say?
First of all, I sympathize with his love and with his worry about the team. On the other hand I read "playing with 3 defenders is one of the worst things you can do" and I feel frustrated. Who tells we are playing with 3 defenders? Take a look on the screenshots and count them! How many are they? 5, 6, 7? I am tired of this story. How many times must I say it again. The screenshot of the tactics is bullshit. It shows only 3 central, because the defenders on the wings follow cautiously on the attacks. If you want to read the tactics you have to watch the game, or at least see the screenshots.
I am not frustrated about Acelio_1216. I am frastrated about the exaggeration. Acelio_1216 wants the best for the team, like me, and it is good so.
Will you quit in 2 weeks?
Au contraire! I have very important reasons to stay.
One reason is that I believe that small teams can make big surprises.
The other reasons have names. marc8 (because he still surprises me with new players), Peppolone (for showing me what really matters in training, bulacañeo (for his effectiveness, even when we disagree), tingeltangelbob (for training Ren-Ren Cambay), zuvatti (for training Baltazar Grey), of course alsoacelio_1216 (not only because of his love for the team, but also because he reminds me that results are the most important thing).
If the Pilipinas community and acelio_1216 still want me to bring their U21 team in the finals, I will continue.
Please take a look at following table:
Take a look at the value of the opponent teams. I could book games against teams like Belarus or Albany, make 15 wins and everybody would be happy. My concern is to modify the best possible team for next season, for the qualification. Everything else would be cheating the community of Pilipinas.
So, you can trust me or trust me not. Just speak directly and let me know if you still trust me and I continue, or not and I have to leave.

Yes. When I started with Pilipinas I told one thing.
The importance of training. Every team of the Premier League and of League II could at this time afford to have 3 magical (15) trainers and give the best training to the players. Do you know how frustrated I feel when I realise that teams prefer to have a national player, even if they can´t give him the best training? I have posted it on the forum and everybody can ask me how to do it. I hope that after this, some users will reconsider things and beliefs about training.

Mr Tsolias, what about the game?
Last week I told "I think we can make a surprise, even if Torquemada has much better players". If you see the game, you can see that the team with the bigger chances in the second half was Pilipinas. We could equalise the game and make the surprise.
What does this game mean to you? Do you still believe that Pilipinas may qualify to U21-WC?
This game was a test game. I checked 2 tactics against an opponent who plays with his strikers attacking from the sides. I made my conclusions, so I can finetune my tactics.
And do you still believe that Pilipinas may qualify to U21-WC?
In most of situations I tried to win a game against teams with 10 points more in average mark, I won or I got a draw. If somebody can bring Pilipinas to WC, this is me.
Acelio_1216 accused you in the forum of doing the worst thing you can do, by playing with 3 defenders. What do you have to say?
First of all, I sympathize with his love and with his worry about the team. On the other hand I read "playing with 3 defenders is one of the worst things you can do" and I feel frustrated. Who tells we are playing with 3 defenders? Take a look on the screenshots and count them! How many are they? 5, 6, 7? I am tired of this story. How many times must I say it again. The screenshot of the tactics is bullshit. It shows only 3 central, because the defenders on the wings follow cautiously on the attacks. If you want to read the tactics you have to watch the game, or at least see the screenshots.
I am not frustrated about Acelio_1216. I am frastrated about the exaggeration. Acelio_1216 wants the best for the team, like me, and it is good so.
Will you quit in 2 weeks?
Au contraire! I have very important reasons to stay.
One reason is that I believe that small teams can make big surprises.
The other reasons have names. marc8 (because he still surprises me with new players), Peppolone (for showing me what really matters in training, bulacañeo (for his effectiveness, even when we disagree), tingeltangelbob (for training Ren-Ren Cambay), zuvatti (for training Baltazar Grey), of course alsoacelio_1216 (not only because of his love for the team, but also because he reminds me that results are the most important thing).
If the Pilipinas community and acelio_1216 still want me to bring their U21 team in the finals, I will continue.

Take a look at the value of the opponent teams. I could book games against teams like Belarus or Albany, make 15 wins and everybody would be happy. My concern is to modify the best possible team for next season, for the qualification. Everything else would be cheating the community of Pilipinas.
So, you can trust me or trust me not. Just speak directly and let me know if you still trust me and I continue, or not and I have to leave.

Yes. When I started with Pilipinas I told one thing.
The importance of training. Every team of the Premier League and of League II could at this time afford to have 3 magical (15) trainers and give the best training to the players. Do you know how frustrated I feel when I realise that teams prefer to have a national player, even if they can´t give him the best training? I have posted it on the forum and everybody can ask me how to do it. I hope that after this, some users will reconsider things and beliefs about training.
