I am not the NT coach anymore, now it is official. Thank you for the trust you put in me during these 2 seasons that we have worked together. It was a real honor to be a part of the process of developing the NT. Noone can ever put a price on your support.

Also a huge thank you to Kostas - your pieces of advice and analysis helped me in so many ways. It is a pleasure to cooperate with people such as yourself.

Congratulations to Lorenzos - I truly believe you can do a lot better than I did, as you seem to be a very talented manager! :)

Here, somewhere else, doesn´t matter where...

Here again something for you to remember - it is a great achievement for Pilipinas the 3rd place and it was possible thanks to your wise choices
You did not qualified, but for a lot of times I thought the qualification is possible. This made my heartbeat go faster and this is what counts ;)

First of all after the end of elections today i would like to say thanks to everyone who support me and vote me and i am promised that i will do everything i can to achieve my and Pilipinas goals this season and why not next seasons if i deserve it.

So as the official Pilipinas National Team Coach i would like to discuss and announce some things with you.

1.Even though Pilipinas is not a very big Sokker Country i will be glad to anyone who want to help by updating players,scouting players and opponents tactics and have a role in my staff team.Do not hesitate to ask me i will be open and receive help by anyone.

2.After a research on National Ranking i deside to arrange friendlies with similar and highest ranking teams and here is the schedule for this season.

So with a quick look you can see that 7 teams from 13 friendlies(Except MiniWC) has highest ranking that ours so more than a half of our friendlies would be with hardest and strongest team but with the benefit that if we achieve a good result we will have positive increase on ranking.5 teams are very close to us (,Indonesia, Cymru,El Salvador,Malta & Jamaica) , 2 teams are much weakest than Pilipinas (Senegal and Shqipëria),5 teams are a little bit strongest than our team (Malaysia,Paraguay,Panama,Costa Rica and South Africa) and we will face 1 much strongest opponent((Nederland U28) where we will be happy to get a close lose or draw because of the special rule of U28!!

Even though every week ranking changes things will not changed too much until the end of the season and we hope that we will achieve our target to reach 64th and reach the fourth spot in next World Cup Draw

3.I will update our Database weekly and i will be glad to receive Sk mails or NTDB update by anyone who trains Pilipinas Players

4.I will be continuously in touch with Tsolias(who i congratulate him for get elected again and i hope we will cooperate very well).

5.I am open to any questions you want to ask me.

6.Malta tactics and players scouting has started and i hope we will get a good win on Saturday!!

So after the draw this is our group for Mini World Cup.

Even though MWC is not an official competition i believe we should make every effort to have a good
participation and why not advance through the next round.With a little scouting i share with you
my thoughts and reports for our opponents.

1) Hrvatska - Ranking 2583.05 (17)
Coach - valsimot(1st season on team)
The toughest team in the tournament,top in the first pot of draw and the only one NT in top 30 Ranking which failed to qualify for the World Cup with only one point below Moldova and Lietuva.In history has 2 World Cup bronde medals.
I believe the matches with Hrvatska will be a challenge between David and Goliath
but i hope that with very good tactics and performance along with much of luck we could take a good result in our home!

Star Player : Many Hrvatska players could take this title but i believe ,30 years old,Striker Alojz Pranic is the big star with an average rating very close to 90!!

Team Average Rating (Last 5 matches) :!!( 79.94 )!!

2)Danmark - Ranking 1708.14 (51)
Coach - kongbuur (2nd concecutive season on team)
A team which had the 4th place in second pot for draw is ahead Pilipinas on week 6 and is the favourite for the second place of the group.
Danmark failed to qualify to the World Cup finishing 4th in a group with Polska and Austria so this doesn't really make them outsiders even if Pilipinas reach 3rd place they have much quality and fullness in every area of the squad so the game between us will
be tough but not unbeatable.Danmark users trust kongbuur for another one season and this is an advantage for them because he already have an extra experience on team unlike me.Even though we will do the best we can to bring 3 points home.
I am 95% sure that a win with Danmark can give us the qualification to quarterfinals.

Star Player : I believe that ,29 years old ,Midfielder [pid=28136705][/pid]Patrick Wibroe is the big star of Danmark with an average rating around 85.

Team Average Rating (Last 5 matches) :!!( 75.02 )!!

3)Prathet Thai - Ranking 406.67 (86)
Coach - Dundy(1st season on team)
The weakest team of the group seeded 6th in fourth spot of draw will be the first opponent Pilipinas has to overtake in the way to
qualification.Probably one of the weakest team of the tournament and we should win them to do the first step.
Prathet Thai finished in 6th and last place of World Cup group and never has finished higher than 6th place.We are a level above them and we have to prove it in the pitch.

Star Player : With a quick look ,29 years old ,Striker Taweesak Leekpai is Prathet Thai Star player and we should take care of him not to score.He has an average rating around 85.

Team Average Rating (Last 5 matches) :!!( 64.68 )!!

Are you planning to use older, more skilled players or younger players but not as skilled as the veterans? :)

I never took part in the Mini WC because I didn't want to face strong opponents such as Hrvatska or Danmark and gain more ranking points in matches against comparable opponents. I hope the decision you made will turn out right. Good luck anyway!

Dear Vampyr

I have the same cast of mind and you can see it in the other 13 friendlies i scheduled where 11 of 13 friendlies are teams from 60 - 80 ranking so we will have equally games with similar opponents so i believe 2 matches vs Toughest opponents are not such a bad idea.Especially with Hrvatska because the huge difference in ranking(1500 points) means that we have to lose more than 5-0 (based on the formula i know) to lose points and even we lose the negative points will be less if we lose for example 2-0 from Malta on Saturday!

Hello mate

I will try to use a mixture of that ,a balanced team with both skilled older players together with younger promising 23-26 years players who will be the next generation of Pilipinas NT.

Pilipinas - Malta 3 : 5

Highly dissapointed from the result and from the late two goals conceded.
I will come back this afternoon with a match report.Definitely their high abilities scorers kill us 2 times with long shot from 30 meters,One penalty ,one Espina's fault and a header.From the other side Ecxellent Pomintuan scores 2 with 4 chances!!

I am not happy with the performance and i promised for better results on future.My first game is a lose but this will make our team strongest.The positive of this game is the debut for Cabungcal for Senior NT!!

I believe that everybody (including me ) wants to forget the last match as soon as possible and get over with.

Rankins Points:

Week 1 : 1090.54 (71th place)
Week 2 : 1062.25 (- 28.29) (74th place)

So after Saturdays match we lost 28 valuable points but with a good result against the toughest team we had to play this season (Nederland U28) we can get back this points even with a draw !!

Nederland had a win against Germany on Saturday with an average of 79.4 but we will try to stop their attackers with a solid defence double line!!

So close to winning this game against Thailand. It was not a bad game, such a pity Pamintuan didn't score just one more time.
