I honestly did not expect this result so I am very happy. Thanks to your help, we were able to look for the future generation of Pilipinas NT which include Alcazar (who did a great job), Cabungcal, Agbulos, Sabugo (who filled in the attacking midfield position very well), Quinot (our surprise winger) and Dinolang. De Leon was also considered to play but did not make it for this match, maybe for the next match, I'll consider him :)

We were supposed to play against Indonesia for the 2nd leg but it took a long time for the coach to accept my match request so I opted to look for another opponent to ensure that we have a match this weekend. Since we were going to play against a stronger team without the average value limit, I decided to use the older players but still, there is a big difference in the values. I also partly blame my tactics and player selection....

Thrilling match against Nicaragua. This is probably one of the youngest team the NT has had used and I'm happy that we got a win without breaking the 70 limit. I hope that the changes I made with the tactics made it better...

Next week, finals! It will depend on the Andorra (the hosts) vs Shqiperia match later!

Probably one of the toughest tactics I've played against this season. Honestly, I am sad that we didn't get the win but I also did not expect that we will get this far. It was difficult to choose the players, especially with the average mark limit. I'm happy that we played with a young team and got a good result but it will always not get a win, especially if we play against a stronger, more experienced team such as Andorra.

We played against a team with more experience and with very very unique tactics. I'm sorry for this loss. It showed how exposed we are at our wings and how we can easily be defeated in the air. It's really difficult to choose our starting players because most of our best players are not in form so it's a choice between form and skill and since the start of this season, I wanted to focus on our younger players.

In addition to this, we need to find a good coach for next season!

Good win for us but we will face a very difficult challenge next week against Vietnam (one of the toughest to beat in this tournament. We have problem with our forwards as one is injured, one is suspended and the two veterans are not in form. We'll see what we can do.

Like I said last week, this would be a great challenge and we lost which I think is plainly just skill difference. We also lacked the players that we need, both via injuries and loss of form. I'm still having problems with the tactics.

Good match against South Korea but I think it is an expected result but I'm still glad with the number of goals we made. Next week would be my last match as NT coach and I hope that it will be a good one.

My last match as the NT coach (unless I become coach again in the future, of course). It wasn't my best season because I really wasn't able to have a lot of time like I did before. There has been a lot of difficult decisions especially in player choices. I wanted to give the younger players playing time even if they have a big skill difference with some of the players who I used to work with such as Aguilar, Austria and Pinlac. Surprisingly though, they were able to give more than what I expected from them. These include Lester Alcazar, Abel Cabungcal, Benedict Dinolang, Lancelot Quinot, Devon Sabugo and Earl Sugcang.

For the "veterans" who played a big role for this season... They are Eduardo Andrada, Rafi Booc, Ren-Ren Cambay, Kobe Conlu, Hidalgo Macatunao, Frank Manuyong, Nathan Mauban, Dean Musni, Enrico Nabua, Mike Pinagbuklod, Cesar Tudtud, Jonas Aguilar and Olsen Pinlac

And for the other players who haven't shined this season due to problems in form or plainly because the veterans are irreplaceable who have a big future in the NT... Dewey Agbulos, Carlos Bahande, Philip Beligan, Henry de Leon, Ali Halum, Ricardo Mabalot and Tyson Punsoy

For this matched, I used various players, ranging from the veterans, the rising stars and the new graduates from the U21. I honestly did not expect this result against Belarus and I'm happy to have won my last match as NT coach.

I gave Chandler Litao the number 1 position for this match to see his future at the NT and even though he didn't keep a cleansheet, he showed his worth with two penalty saves (with both fouls from Conlu lol). In addition to him, I also added defenders Noah Tapaya and Edmund Quinahan, as well as forward Omanzie Tanghal who might be the future stars of the NT.

I had mixed emotions regarding this one season stay as the NT. I want to continue my work to see if it has bear fruit in the world cup qualifiers but at the same time, I know that I cannot give as much time as I want to. I hope that whoever becomes coach will do better than I did and lead the team to greater heights.
