Our team lost with a complimentary score of 0:2 in an U28 vs. U28 match. Not bad! My compliments to Foutinhio!
What have we gained of this match?
- We (coach Foutinhio and me) had a look at the next generations of players
and through this, we are able to know what has to be done.
What has to be done?
- All U28-players need to take every week individual training. (At least for 90 minutes official match).
If you cannot offer them each week individual training, then it is better to sell them. In this case, please inform, some days before, coach Foutinhio or me, so we find a potential buyer, who will give them more training.
I know, you love your NT and you want to train your players as best as possible. Best as possible is only possible, if they get every week individual training.
Finally one more notice: Basic skill (defending, playmaking, striker) are the most important skills.
e.g. It is better to have a defender with 12 pace, 12 tech, 17 def,
tahn having one with 13 pace, 13 tech, 16 def.

I reported about this match, but I do it again: Strong tactical performance by our coach, strong performance also by our players. Loosing 0-2 by Germanys coach Roman (and ex coach of Pilipinas) is a compliment.
Week 9 - Friendly
Danmark 8:2 Pilipinas
Nightmare for Foutinhio. People use to forget, or to remember such matches. Foutinhio and me, we decided to keep this match in memory, to analyse every aspect of possbible mistakes that could be avoided. I think it was an important lesson.
By the way, such results should happen every Saturday and we experienced 4-5 results like this in the past season, (It depends on the number of users in each country)
To avoid such results, 2 things must happen:
1 Individual training to the NT players every week (I think most users do it)
2. To accept that it´s not the ME (match engine), but wrong decissions by the coach and think about what one could do better (If Foutinhio would not be the guy, who acts this way, I would not assist him).
Week 10 - Friendly
Kypros 2:4 Pilipinas
This match was the time of the truth for Foutinhio, after the 2-8 defeat against Denmark. Cyprus is a team with better results than Denmark and this would be a tough test.
By watching the match, I was impressed by the fact that our coach studied carefully every detail and this victory was a big victory!

good job foutinhio , the match last week vs indonesia was nice . btw the player Rachmad Saununu was mine good old striker he is talent 3 max haha but you win very clean against them : sound good for me Pilipinas matches i follow a bit too on side

Week 11 - ASIAN CUP - First round
Indonesia 0:1 Pilipinas
Before the match against the big favorite for winning the ASIAN CUP, Indonesia, I made one question: Do you believe in miracles?
Our team did the miracle happen! A very strong performance from our keeper Halum, excellent positioning by our defenders, big commitment by Musni and Catubig and finally a cold blooded goal by superstar Agbulos.
Our coach Foutinho and his assistant Tsolias, me, were celebrating this wonder for hours! :)
Week 12 - ASIAN CUP - Second round
Pilipinas 5:2 Australia
This match started like a nightmare. On minute 35 Australia had already scored 2 goals, 0-2! And on the next minute something changed. Agbulos won a penalty, the Australian player who commited the penalty was sent of and our team scored 5 goals and our team passed to the semifinal of the Asian Cup!
Week 13 - ASIAN CUP - Semifinal
Cymru (Wales) 3:3, on extratime 5:3 Pilipinas
The european team from Wales, that got a wildcard to play in the Asian Cup has knocked out Viet Nam in the previous round. Wales was the favorite of this semifinal, but we hoped, that we can surprise them again and make the win, like on week 02.
Tis match was a thriller. After our 2-0 lead, Wales made the comeback and scored 3 times. Our equaliser came on last minute, on 90 with Lumahan, who scored his second goal to 3-3. On the extra time we run out of fuel and Wales won the match.
After the match, we, Foutinho and me, we had a discussion about what could have been better. We pointed some critical things out, so that next time our team is better prepared.
Whatever... Reaching the semifinal was a very big thing! My congratulations to our coach and my gratitude for all of you, who train players of the Azkals. :)
Week 14 - Friendly
Moldova U28 3:1 Pilipinas U28
This friendy was the oportunity to test some players, like Lao. (Finally, after 4 mails, we also have his skills). On the first half, our team dominated, lost one penalty and scored one goal. On the second half there were some missmatches (especially Jacang on the defence) and Moldavia won by 3:1. I think our coach has the potential to get better results than this. So, lets see what will happen next week.
Next match:
Week 15 - ASIAN CUP - 3rd place match
Pilipinas : Nippon
The final is between China and Wales. One more team will get a medal. Japan or Pilipinas? Next Saturday we will know if our Azkals will get the bronze medal of the Asian Cup!

Week 15 - ASIAN CUP* - 3rd place match
Pilipinas 6:5 (2:2, extra time 3:3) Nippon
Domination for our team, but somehow Japan made the goals. Even with the second tactic, the Japanese continued to score. But coach Foutinho showed strategic skills with his 2 substitutions. Uy scored the second goal and the other substitution Quinot created the third goal.
3 goals from Agbulow, Uy and Quinot on the penalties were enough to decide the victory for the Azkals.
*Something I missed to report about the 1st ASIAN cup: There were several errors on the organization, like not following exactly the rules or even change them during the tournament. The match against Japan should be the bronze medal match, but because of change of the rules, it has not count.
After a discussion I had with coach Foutinho, we both decided to withdraw the NT form this tournament.

Việt Nam : Pilipinas
Next friendly is against the most successful team of Asia, Việt Nam. Việt Nam is not only strong, because of the 145 users, but also because of Italian coach Red3x, a friend of me. I expect him to make his best, so we can discover weak points of our tactics and fix them in the following week. I think this can be the best way to prepare our team and our coach for the qualifiers next season.
Week 15 - ASIAN CUP* - 3rd place match
Pilipinas 6:5 (2:2, extra time 3:3) Nippon

This was the strongest test against a team, that made no mistakes.
Because it was our strongest test, this time, the match review will be quite different.
Lets start:
Before 10 seasons, on the semifinal of the U20-Mama-Mia-Cup, there was following match:
Pilipinas U20 0:4 Việt Nam U20
Some players played on both matches, before 10 seasons and today: Halum, Quinot, Beligan, Lumahan etc.
The Azkals coach was me, Tsolias, and Viet Nam had the same coach like today, the italian supermario, the legend of Mama-Mia-Cup, Red3x!

1. Hello coach Red3x! What´s your opinion about the match today?
It was a match that ended with a win for me, but I'm dissatisfied.
The 3 goals I scored make me think that I was wrong or, and I hope so, my opponent was good at overtaking my defence and scoring 3 goals.
We played in 10 and in 8 minutes, from 37 to 45 minutes, we managed to score 4 goals.
But I'm dissatisfied with the game.
2. Have you studied before the match the tactics of Pilipinas?
No, absolutely not.
I've been trying for weeks to create new tactics to use next season to find the right balance in attack and defense.
I want my team to play well in every situation.
3. Today, there was also the draw of the qualifiers. Pilipinas is on Group J with: Azərbaycan, Cuba, Australia, Ísland and Tūnis.
How far do you believe can the NT of Pilipinas go?
For the Philippines, it's a dangerous group zone.
Arzebaijan, if it is re-confirmed Ozgur, will be the Romania of your Group.
He has stronger players and especially younger than mine.
While Cuba is a hard team to beat but not impossible.
So the Philippines will have to play its cards well and as soon as someone takes the wrong step, they will have to take advantage of it and attack even at the cost of losing.
That's the only way he can pass the Group.
4. Your team is drawn on Group E with România, Colombia, Cymru, Andorra and Shqipëria. We expect your team to be on one of the first 2 qualifying playes. The question is: Is it possible for you to win over worldcup-semifinalist Romania?
It sounds like an easy circle, but the danger is around the corner.
An example?
Wales has been able to beat me with a lot of luck.
So even if the game is easy, I can't afford to be wrong.
Romania is in good shape, they've been in the semifinals twice, they play well and they have the players to do it.
I don't know if I can beat it like I did against France, but I'll do my best to win and pass this qualifying round.

One of my mistakes was that the defense was very backwards, so we accepted many phases.
