0-0 very nice :)) I saw the game very late at night and I was very happy about it
and also a little disappointed because of the unfair red card. Without the red card we could get a better result.

I issued a formal complaint about the referee at FIFA.

Match report later today, on Monday, I don´t know when... Sorry guys, tomorrow it´s the marriage of my best friend and I am the groomsman (best man / witness to the marriage) :) I have a lot to do now... ;P

Mr Tsolias, what about your opponent?
I will present you some facts about Suomi Finland:
- They won 2 times silver in U21WC.
- Kesis is their coach for 5th season. In both qualifiers he qualified for the U21WC.
- He had some pretty nice results past season:
België U21 - Suomi U21 0:0 (Belgium just won one week before the U21WC)
România U21 - Suomi U21 0:3 (Romania and 0-3!)
Now you can make your own opinion about our opponent.

And what about our team?
I had big difficulties before the game to choose the players for the game, because of their mediocre form. We have not so many players too choose from, like Finland. We have only 4 junior schools and they have over 50. We had 7 players with form below 14, they had none. We have one high valued field player (Agbulos), they have only such players. These are the hard facts about our team in comparison to Finland.

And what about the game?
I felt big pressure before the game, because, you know, I am a mad guy and I still believe we can qualify. I checked a lot perspectives of the game, like players height, weight, BMI, form etc. and I created a new tactic. Despite the red card of Agbulos in the begin of the match, we succeeded in getting a positive result. I think we could also win if we had Agbulos on the pitch!
Even if I know, that believing in qualification with the Azkals is a crazy thought, such matches give me fuel to have more fun with the game and set crazy goals ;)

You wrote after the game that you issued a formal complaint about the referee at FIFA.Was this red card unfair?
Oh yes! Finland is a very quiet counry and if you touch somebody he get scared, he falls down and the guy who has touched him receives a red card! Only the people who hear hard rock and gothic music in Finland are so tough like Agbulos!

What about next gam?
It is in a few minutes. By the way, I am sorry for delaying so much this match report, I really had a lot to do past week.
Today we play a friendly with our neighbours from Indonesia, coached by nyoman_edi. I liked and appreciate the fact, that he proposed to play this match in our stadium. Thanks Edy :)
About the match: I will check 2 tactics. One in each half. The second tactic is like the tactic against Finland, with a big modification in the positioning of the strikers.

Mr Tsolias, what about the game?
Ryoman_edi, the coach of Indonesia has a slightly better team, but we had our goalkeeper in a big day. He made miraculous saves and he saved the draw. Furthermore, it was a friendly game in a friendly, but not relaxed, atmosphere and I think both teams are satisfied with the result. The players raised with the game their skill in experience and on the rest of the week they can get more training.

Meanwhile on our qualifiers group, all aspirants have won 3 points. Will you comment the situation?
Slovakia and USA had very easy games. Finland had an opponent, wha has shown in the past, that he can get good results. I think, that Finland´s coach Kesis was alarmed after the 0-0 against us last week.
Now I realise what happened in the past 3 weeks and I start to smile! Teams like USA with more than 20 junior schools, Finland with more than 50 junior schools and Slovakia with more than 80 have big difficulties to win against Pilipinas which has just 3 junior schools. Amazing!

Do you have any message to our readers?
Yes!
There are some players on the transfer list in 2 hours.

Jayden Agatol, age:19
tragic [0] stamina, hopeless [1] keeper
average [5] pace, weak [4] defender
average [5] technique, very good [9] playmaker
good [7] passing, hopeless [1] striker
He could be one of the midfield players of the next generation.
For this, he should get trained on the coming 26 weeks in such a way, so he can gain 2 popups in pace, in technique, in pass and in playmaker. It seems very possible.

Jay Matiyaga, age:16
hopeless [1] stamina, hopeless [1] keeper
tragic [0] pace, poor [3] defender
tragic [0] technique, hopeless [1] playmaker
unsatisfactory [2] passing, solid [8] striker
He is just 16!! He has a long time to become one of the best players, because he has already 8 in striker. He just needs pace training for the next 2 seasons and after it technique.

Jireh Abueg, age:19
unsatisfactory [2] stamina, excellent [10] keeper
unsatisfactory [2] pace, unsatisfactory [2] defender
weak [4] technique, unsatisfactory [2] playmaker
excellent [10] passing, unsatisfactory [2] striker
He seems very talented, but he is already 19. The best he can make is to be the number 2 of the goalkeepers on the next U21 generation and much later with some luck he could be a NT member.

Next weeks there will be more players on the TL, I will keep you informed.

What about next game?
It´s against Iran. It should be an easy walk for us.

- "Azkal powerplay" -

Mr Tsolias, what about the game?
There is not too much to say about this game. Iran is very weak and we could demonstrate our powerplay. Look at the report of the first half:
The statistics of play in the half: Īrān U21 88%, Pilipinas U21 12%.

Do you think the score could be higher?
I will try it on the homegame. Most important thing is we got the 3 points.

Any words about Agbulos?
Finally his form started to raise. If he gets in divine or superdivine form, then we have to fear nothing. Then our opponents have to fear.

Last week you told, that on this week there will be more players on the TL and that you will keep us informed.Do you have any news?
Yes, 2 more players were tranfered. One defender (Dacquel, 20) and one playmaker (Agsalog, 19). Both were transfered on a team of a friend and they will get training in pace and technique. Agsalog will be one of the playmakers of the next generation (plamaking 10, pass 8).
Furthermore, the newest member of our team, defender Aries Maturan (20) is again on transfer list. I was informed just today about his last popups and he will play more U21 games this season.
Striker Liwag (19) will also come on the transferlist tonight. He needs training in pace.
As you know this is my last season with the Azkals and I want to leave a generation, that is worth to be coached. So, if you have the ability to train some U19 players, give them a chance.

Do you currently train U19 players from Pilipinas?
Let me make a question! Do you think that a good generation is a matter of luck?

Ok, I got it, it´s the training of the youngsters. What about next game?
It´s against Albania. It should be like todays game.

- "Not more than necessary" -

Mr Tsolias, what about the game?
Some of you expected again 8 goals. The coach of Albania may expected his team to surprise. (Is this the reason why he named his tactic "suprise"? And me, I had the next games on my mind. I just checked some variations of our tactics and expected to see at least 2 goals.
It took some time to score. However the quality difference was so big, that there were no place for suprises in this match.

Don´t you think it is better to try to score as much goals as possible? Perhaps on the end we have the same points with some other teams.
I thought the same thing, but perhaps it´s a better idea to make first everything possible to get some more points. This is my priority and that´s why a try (whenever I think it is possible) some weird things.
For example, take a look at Poland. They used today eleven U20 players. Their coach looks in this early stage ahead in the future. This is called foresight and that´s why I think they will win the next U21 World Cup.

Agbulos has now divine form, but he didn´t scored today. Any explanation?
I did not focused on this game to take advantage of his qualities.

What about next game?
It´s against Skartvelo, Georgia. Their coach GEO is very effective. Today he made the suprise and played 1-1 versus USA. In the past he won 3 times over the Azkals, coached by me, and only on the last confrontation I could celebrate a win. If we succeed by winning them on the next 2 games, then on 2 weeks the Azkals will be on place #2 of U21 Group P.

- "Battle against the demons of Tsolias" -

Mr Tsolias, I know you are disappointed with the result. Let´s take a look first at the teams. What´s your opinion aboout Georgia (Sakartvelo)?
Well, I hoped you will ask me first about the things I could do better. Ok, let´s start with Georgia.
They have at least 10 junior schools (we have 3), they have at least double users than we have, so they should clearly have a better team.
But as you know, most Azkals got in the past better training, so our field players have en equal value to the Georgians.
They have also a capable coach. Coach Geo has made a lot of suprises in the past. One of them was the 1-1 against USA. Furthermore, he and his team are my demons; I lost the 3 first games against his team and we won only 1 time. I studied very carefully his team in the past days and I discovered some interesting facts. Most of his players are very fast and have good technique. But the main thing I pointed out is that most of them have played more than 30 official games with their clubs. This means they are more experienced. The experience skill is one of the most important skills on sokker. In contradictin, some of our players have just 9 or 10 official club games...

Interesting this point about the experience. However the form is also a big factor and you had the fortune of having most of your players in perfect shape. Do you think you made some errors and that´s why you didn´t won?
First of all I want to say something about the fortune of having most players in perfect shape. Some times it´s fortune and sometimes it´s trying different ways to build up the form of a player. You can ask about it some club managers of our players. They were willing to try and perhaps the perfect shape is the result of their actions.
And now to your question. Yes I think I made one or more errors. This game is a simulation based on factors. Next week I have to change some factors, so that we get the 3 points.

What factors will you change?
I don´t want to write it here. We dominated the game and couldn´t score at least one goal. Not the domination counts, but the goals scored. That´s all I can tell now.
Thank you very much, let´s expect a win next week.

Mr Tsolias, what was the difference on this game in comparison to last week?
First, last week our players were in super form, this week Georgia´s players were in super form.
Second, last week Georgia played a different tactic.
Third difference is Joachim Pérez got a MID-instruction instead of ATT.

I noticed the third difference. If this player had last week a MID-instruction, do you think you could win?
Yes, I think this was my error.

Are you satisfied at all with the performance against Georgia?
I think it´s a wrong approach to expect from us to score 8 goals against Georgia, like Finland and Slovakia did. Their teams are must stronger and if you compare our team to Georgia, then you will find out following things: Their team is equal to ours. We have a better goalkeeper, but their players are much faster than ours. Especially this point makes it very hard for every coach to confront them.

- "Risky domination under heavy rain shower" -

Mr Tsolias, what about the game?
If you remember the first game, we had some difficulties to score against Albania. Today it was a good occasion to test a new tactic and some new parameters. I think we dominated the game, we had an easy win and I also got my answers to the new tactic.

Wasn´t it a little bit risky with just playing with just 2 men on the defence line?
Generally yes, but we played against Albania 4 weeks ago and I was sure our players would stop them. So they did.

You seemed very satisfied by watching the game. What made you looking so satisfied?
It was the circulation of the ball. The weather conditions were bad and despite of this, our midfielders made a lot of accurate passes. This was the main point of the new tested tacic.

Why did you tested a new tactic?
I think our priority is not to score 3 or 5 or 7 goals against Albania and Iran, but to be prepared for the games against Slovakia, Finland and USA.

Any message for your suporters?
Yes! I want to thank them for training the U21 players so effective.
We have just 3 junior schools and the result is this team. Other teams, like Mexico with at least 14 junior schools, do not have a stronger team. We can face them, because our suporters are effective with the training.
Just keep in mind: Most U21-coaches complain, that there are not enough young players like in the past. Ok, it´s a fact, but we can do something for it and the Azkals do!

- "Launching one rocket after another..." -

Mr Tsolias, what about the game?
I would be satisfied with 4 goals and we scored 6. Everybody is healthy and strong. I enjoyed this game.

Are you f%c&ing serious? Everybody expected more than 10 goals and you are stisfied with 6??!
Thank you for being so directly. Today, if you watched the game, our strikers made a lot of distance shots. The tactics were modified to make this happen.
Especially in the last 30 minutes when we changed formation I counted 13 long distance shots in 30 minutes. I was happy for this, because it was my intention. I know that we would score less goals in this game with such modified tactics. I hope that the tactical knowledge and experience I gained from this game will be paid back.

Ok, know I understand. How many distance shots did we made?
Tabian made 11, Agbulos 8 and Perez 4. All of them happened because of the tactics. Only 1 distance shot from Carasig was not planned.

Next week we play U19 versus U19 with Latvija. Any words about this?
I wrote a lot on my last posts. Tamir Lao (18) made today his debut and more players will have the same experience next Friday. One of them will be goalkeeper Chandler Litao (19). He just finished the junior school with a talent of 3.4 and he is excellent (10) in pace, in pass and in goalkeeping. He will be for sure the goalkeeper of the next generation.
He will also be transferlisted very soon, so if you know somebody who trains goalkeeper skill, tell him. If I would train keepers, this would be a reason to feel very lucky.
