Forum Rules
These forum conduct rules are the guidelines for all public activities in Sokker - forum postings, sk-mails, news articles, logos, transfer announcements, name of the teams, stadium, notices on players etc.
1. The user is obliged to act according to Sokker Usage Rules. Breaching those rules may end with disciplinary procedures by Game Administrators or Moderators.
2. It is forbidden to use insulting or vulgar language:
-It is forbidden to threaten, insult, tease or provoke other users
-It is forbidden to use bad or vulgar language.
-This includes masking any of the above (ie using replacement characters instead of a few of the characters or using obvious misspellings to represent a curse word).
3. It is forbidden to paste links to pages dangerous to others' computers or Sokker (with viruses, opening many pop up windows, or illegal / copyrighted software). It is also forbidden to paste links to web sites or services for which a benefit will be received (ie referral links).
4. It is forbidden to produce spam in forum threads, guestbook posts and SK-mails.
The following examples (there may be others) will be treated as spam:
-bumping a thread without any real need (many transfer forums have their own bumping rules)
-using meaningless thread titles
-creating multiple similar threads
-creating new threads for the same subject as existing ones
-writing overly off-topic posts
-spamming guestbooks with nonsense content
-adding signatures to posts
-excessive expansion of a forum window due to big pictures
-overusing capital letters in titles of threads or in posts
-using enlarged font, colors or other special characters without any purpose
-breaking individual transfer forum rules. For example, posting a player not native to that country in a closed transfer forum. All closed forums or transfer forums with rules will have a rule thread in capital letters in them (usually on the first page, but may be 2 or 3 pages away for busy threads).
5. It is forbidden to advertise players by sk-mails or in guestbooks, unless responding to a request from a user.
- Responding with adverts for players that strongly diverge from requested is not allowed.
- Advertising through other means, sending junk-mail to any user or inducing voters during the elections shall also be punished.
6. It is forbidden to impersonate Game Administrator or Moderator. It's not allowed to publish any private correspondence received from Administrator or Moderator by sk-mail.
7. Before posting on foreign international forum you are obliged to check the Forum Rules of that country and the specific forum rules (translated into English). Breaking any of them or posting in unrecognized language on the foreign forum (other than English) may be treated as spamming.
8. Decisions of the Moderators and Administrators should not be discussed publicly in the forums, news articles, etc. In the case you need more information about a decision or do not agree with it you could ask more information or a review using the sk-mail of the Moderator (or Administrator). In case you still disagree with a decision you could ask a final review of the case to another Moderator or Administrator by sending him a sk-mail or by sending an email to admins@sokker.org
9. These rules are general guidelines for administrators and moderators.
- all breaching of the rules will be reviewed an appropriate Moderator (or Administrator).
- All penalties may be increased or decreased, according to the severity of the crime committed. Repeated breaking of the rules will lead to increased forum bans, additional financial fines or even the blocking of your account.
- Administrator or moderator may take into account the seniority of the wrongdoer before making his decision
- Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for breaking them.
The staff reserve the right to modify the Rules at any time, when this is done, users will be notified of the changes.
TRANSFER ADVERTISEMENTS
To clear up any confusion, we are clarifying rules on posting transfer adverts. Currently transfer forums fall into two main groupings – open forums and closed forums.
An open forum is the default setting for a country. This allows any posts as long as they meet the standard forum rules. Eesti & Polska have a few minor rules for posting which can be checked out in their forums, but basically operate as an open forum.
In closed forums users may only post transfers adverts in the transfer forum if you meet one of the following criteria:
* Transfer adverts for players of that country’s nationality wherever they may play
* Transfer adverts for any players from users from that country.
* Player requests or valuations by users from that country
From now on users from countries with closed forums are also not allowed to post in transfer forums of other nations (be they open or closed. An exception is made if you only if you are posting players of the same nationality as the transfer forum you are advertising on.
For a complete up to date list of the closed transfer forums see this topic here.
Any other posts will be closed and/or deleted and users making these posts risk a 2 day forum ban, and as always, the moderators decision is final. A copy of this post is viewable in your forum FAQ & will be kept up to date with any changes.
All users may freely post all transfers in the following location: Here
