U21 World Cup - Group A

Brasil U21 - Magyarország U21

We are starting the U21 World Cup, dear Magyarorszag community, and we will be defending the title of the best youth national team in the world. I invite you to cheer for us; I count on you :) Our first match will be against the Brazil U21 team. Unfortunately, we are not the favorites in this match; our opponent is. However, we will fight for the best possible result, ideally for a victory. I have prepared for this match, and we'll see what comes of it. Brazil can lose, as shown in their recent friendly matches. Brazil U21 - Argentina U21 0:1, Brazil U21 - Bulgaria U21 1:2—I watched these games and will take my inspiration from them. However, I noticed that Brazil can also win, which was shown in their latest friendly match. The Canarinhos are strong and have great potential. Brazil likes to play with the same tactics, and I definitely want to take advantage of that. We need to activate our side attacking midfielders, but we have to do it very skillfully :)
Fortunately, we've been avoiding injuries, and the fact that we are not the favorites for the match is good because we don't have much pressure. So we will play cautiously with low pressing in the defensive line, waiting for an effective counterattack after which we will score the winning goal :) I talked to our young players and they told me they are ready to fight, and they promise to fight like a Tiger!
Today we didn't train, our young team Magyarorszag U21 had a day of relaxation.

To start, I have a question: did anyone watch our match against Brazil U21? :)

Brasil U21 - Magyarország U21 1:1

A draw in this match should theoretically satisfy me, but it doesn't. Especially when I remember the last play in this match, which happened exactly in the 89th minute, our forward Gorboi, one-on-one with the goalkeeper, missed an excellent chance to score a goal :(

It all started with Brazil U21 defender Rodrigo Polanco playing the ball into his own half.


Of course, our attackers wanted to take advantage of this situation, so they took the ball after a bad pass from our opponent's defender and went forward with it, which led to a very dangerous situation with a chance for our team, Hungary U21, to score a goal.



And here our midfielder Richárd Sógor, after a beautiful run with the ball, ultimately delivered a very good pass to our forward Gorboi.


In the end, in such a perfect goal-scoring situation, our striker Gorboi didn't score the golden goal :( and we had several more one-on-one chances in this match, we just lacked finishing and luck


Unfortunately, in my opinion, there is a significant feeling of dissatisfaction because we were very close to winning this match at the last minute. This match showed that we will fight at this U21 World Cup as equals with the best U21 national teams in the world. Regardless, I would have taken a draw before this match blindly, so ultimately, it's okay, everything is going according to plan. Dear fans of Hungary U21, the next match will be decisive for us; we will play against Uruguay U21. It will also be a tough match. I can already see that Uruguay U21 likes to position one player wide in the attacking line, and we will need to keep this in mind when arranging the lineup for this match.

It's time to analyze and prepare for the next match at the U21 World Cup. My goal is to win the match against Uruguay U21. I'll do everything to achieve that, so this is the moment to change our game and surprise our opponent tactically. I'm currently watching Uruguay's matches and observing their practiced, repeatable moves on the pitch in most of their matches. Dear Magyarorszag U21 fans, I'll give you more details in a few days. I'm also closely monitoring our players and their daily form, and I'm also closely monitoring the young Uruguay U21 players.
