If you want really the cheapest solution, you should use the public transport. In Budapest, this is the "BKV" company. From the Lsizt Ferenc Airport / Terminal 2 to the city center, there isn't any direct line. Therefore you should try this: from the Terminal 2 you can use the bus line 200E (departure time: 23:06, 23:21, 23:36, 23:5, 0:21) to the Határ út M, and from Határ út you can use bus line 950A (23:34, 0:34, 1:04, 1:34...) to the city center.

Maybe it will be easier for you if you use this: "BKV Route Planning".

2)
For me: 1. The Gellért-hegy (=a hill which calls Gellért; it is at the edge of the city center, you can see from the top of this hill the whole city actually (the panorama is beautiful), it is a beatuiful and quiet place to be especially if you have a beer or wine with you, your friends and it's evening). 2. You should choose one of the favourite party places and you should go and try it, and after that at the next morning/midday.../ you should go to a spa. 3. In Budapest there is a lot of museums, reataurants, lovely places, tehere are some walking streets, too, therefore if you have only one or two days, you should make a decision before you are arriving in Budapest: what do you really want to make in this two days, because there won't be enough time to see all of the places etc. which are worth enough to see them. Budapest isn't Tokio or London, but it has a really-really good face, it's quite special, it1s a nice place to be there. And that's why it's so hard to answer to your question... Our parliament is one of the most prettiest of all the world, but i don't know that you'll have any chance to get in in two days. It's very popular etc... There is a zoo ="Állatkert) in the City Park (in hungarian: "Városliget"), in this summer, at very high temperatures it could be a good idea to see that. There are some stalactite caves too, or there is the whole castle district ("Budai Vár")...

3)
Lake Balaton, Tihany, Badacsony

1) Use the fix rate taxi about 18 euro to get in the city centre available in front of airport. Public transport is valuable for 1 or two only.
