I'm very happy to have achieved this, but especially to you coaches who helped me by sending updates and training the players, thank you very much. The last coach, despite not having left any tactics, left several athletes semi-updated, which gave a good idea of what I would have at hand.
That end of the first round was the best of my career as a national team coach. Not only for the results, but because in almost every game, I studied a lot and always prepared the team as I had imagined I could win. Facing difficult opponents is always complicated, but unlike some opponent coaches, I've always respected the opposing team and their coach and never complained about the problems I had and have to assemble the selection.
About the match against Portugal, we had a smaller dominance than we imagined, perhaps due to the drop in form of some essential athletes for the scheme. We had numerous clear chances to score, penalty and the opposing team even had a player expelled. At the end of the first half we reached a goal that did justice on the scoreboard. In the second half, the opposing coach helped us, opening a hole in the defense and giving us space to attack and score more goals. Unfortunately we also had one expelled and with that we lost the midfield and weakened the defense. So the opponent began to get more dangerous and have opportunities. We had some difficulty in the match, due to the quality of the opposing coach and his selection, even with a low ranking, has a lot of quality. I just chose the best ones for each position and didn't pay attention to tactics. So some spaces and opportunities to the opponent. Ahojte priatelia komunity. Bohužiaľ, dnes prichádzam hovoriť o našej prvej prehre v kvalifikácii. A bol to súboj proti našim súperom v Portugalsku. Hra bola remíza, ako som si myslel, ale tentoraz sme prehrali všetky súboje o loptu. Naša obrana nebola schopná odzbrojiť a naši útočníci nedokázali prejsť cez súperových obrancov. Verím, že rozdiel v skóre neukáže aká bola hra, ale trpezlivosť. Moja chyba, že neútočím cez stred a tvorím len po krídlach. Musíme sa znova zorganizovať, aby sme pokračovali so šancami na kvalifikáciu. Ospravedlňujem sa za chyby. Objať každého.

With that they opened the scoring and the opposing goalkeeper defended many 1x1. We went into the second half losing, but this time we had a plan B, in case something like that happened and we managed to win and we could have done more, if it weren't for the goalkeeper having an inspired day.
