Cymru have always been on the fringes of greatness, but never quite got there in Sokker as well as in reality. Cymru have one of the oldest, yet still smallest communities (30 users) in Sokker. Merely qualified for the World Cup with a 18/30 in de qualifications. The team will struggle to get any points from this relatively easy group, but their best hope for a point will be against Norge.

"This is Cymru`s first WC in Sokker. The fact that we qualified is an incredible achievement for us, considering our small but active user community. We wiil play every game like its our WC final, but I must admit that even gaining a point would be a miracle for us."

If that wasn't tactical brilliance, then I'll eat my hat. Spent all morning trying to get a tactic that would exploit their weakness with the hole on their right side of defence, and moved Connor in a little bit forward early to profit. Swapped Grey to Att Mid to exploit his skills and wham bam, thankyou mam.
Yippedee doo dah, yippedee day, my oh my, what a wondeful day.

Unfortunately, Grey got a straight red, not quite sure why, but that killed my tactics after the 36th minute, but the rest of our wonderful team held on for glory.

We had a really strong defence today with a fabulous contribution from Wilcox, Stacey, Batts & especially Mutlow. God had a superb day with 3 blinding saves.

Well, we started strong against a much higher rated nation, but we're under no illusions for our next 2 games.

We had our surprise result, but its gonna be a sheer hard slog from now on. Grey will be sorely missed for the next game.
