Just thought I'd bring everyones attention to the Welsh cup semi

It see's the top 4 seeds from last season make it.

C. Dragons (seeded 1) take on Ash Fc (Seeded 4)

and

The Mighty Oak (seeded 2) take on The Pixies (Seeded 3)

The second game is likely to be a bit of a toss up as both teams have players out and in all honesty anything could happen. In the first semi whoever is elminated is likely to be playing for nothing this season already!!

Expect 2 tight games

Decided to train scoring this week so I could pretty much send my first team out except for letheran who played on sunday.

Not sure what to say about my game... Never expected to win, so I guess I can't really complain... Anyone who knows me knows that will rarely stop me though!

I knew that with the reserves in there we were basically carrying 3 players, so I stuck a defensive formation out and hoped to hit on the break and grab a sneaky goal.... Unfortunatly some of the defending from my team was extremely poor and it was actually the experienced players who I thought let my team down on this occasion... The tactic also wasn't perfect, but sometimes it's a little hard to see all the flaws without the tactic being used in a game.

Vagi was very poor, wasting a great chance to put a striker clean through on goal, getting caught in possesion which led to us getting hit on the couter attack for the first goal... I also remember him hitting the ball out for a corner, when he was stood near the half way line.... His passing was generally really bad, in a game where it couldn't be afforded. The second goal wasn't very good from a defensive stand point either...

Weale gave the makeshift Oak defence a few problems when he came on though. He did grab one goal, but he actually had 3 or 4 good chances, so it's disappointing that he didn't make the most of them.

Anyway, good luck Matt. Should be a good game in the final.

Difficult to make a totally new tactic, but that seemed a little too defensive maybe?

Anyhow on to my lot. I had 2 19 yr olds starting, they both did ok. Then to get my keeper injuried in the 10th min...well it never looks good when that happens.

Kiss is so dangerous and I must admit I was fairly happy with the whole game. Lots of players out, and not really the squad to replace them but heyho we are in the final.

Sundays league game will be interesting as I have Haggin, Edmunds, Abbas Musa and Reece all out, not good.

As for the other game well some cack finishing is all I'm going to say, and unless I dare field players slightly injuried Vogue going to start big fav to retain the cup!!

Maybe too defensive, but the trouble was that my trainees weren't good enough to actually do anything. Attacking wasn't really an option. When weale came on it worked a little better and a few chances came his way.

Like I say, slightly disappointed in my teams defending though. They seemed to just stand and watch quite often instead of going and making tackles... I think If I'd gone any more attacking I'd have lost the ball too much as soon as the ball got to the trainees and that would leave my midfield out of position, so I would have had even more defensive problems....

hehe well sort of.

But I do ahve some bad injuried.

For example I'm weighing up whether I can get away with an adequate keeper with no pace for the league game on sunday.

Who says the LOW has no quality? :P
