The Mighty Oak - Caerphilly Dragons

For the Welsh prem.

Oak need to just not lose. Dragons need all 3 points.

Wales' hero Robin Loveless has recently been sold to the Dragons and Vogue has also bolstered his side with 2 further signings.

The Oak have sold Welsh wing Wizard Edmunds but have brought in jumbo sumo slow keeper Titu and truely class forward Nevill from Y Ddraig Goch.

Vogue admits his side start slight favs but the Oak are a tough nut (boom boom) to crack so anything could happen. :)

Enjoy the game and good luck to all the other games tom

Looking forward to the game :)
Guess all the pressure is on me having to go in as favs which I cant say has happened too often in the past :P

Low form on a few key players and a slight injury on one has made me worry a lil more than I would like to but I had given up on the prem title a good few weeks ago so just to get this chance is nice in itself :)

Should be fun to watch either way and I shall be here rdy for kick off for defo tomoz in anticipation :)

edit: only 1 of the other 2 signings will be playing a part in the game and the other shall be sat on the bench as 2nd sub.

Well in a funny way I'm glad you scored that 3rd goal cos if I would have lost to that 2nd goal I wouldn't have been happy!!!

Bloody divine keeper that can't pick up a non moving ball :(

In all honesty my team didn't do as bad as I thought they would so things look a little brighter for next season :)

Gratz vogue on the title.

Didnt take too much in tbh at a first watch but you seemed to have the slight edge for the first 15 mins, then I seemed to be all over you but just couldnt put the ball away until your striker with his zimmer frame did some long range effort which clark kent would've got to.

I werent too happy at this point and thought it was over especially when Lindsay got sent off making it even harder to get passed those damn defenders who all seem to have taken pace pills which my players werent given :P

I then breathed a sigh of relief and thought I had a chance once again when I saw your defender get injured which is the reason I then went on and won imo :)

Bloody divine keeper that can't pick up a non moving ball :(
I thought your keeper did amazing tbh and the law of averages says that 1 or 2 of those shots were bound to go in :P
3rd goal was a long range effort which I was actually hoping to get all my goals from knowing he has high keeping and not the greatest of pace.

In all honesty my team didn't do as bad as I thought they would so things look a little brighter for next season :)
personally, I think they did better than they shouldve :P
Seemed to pass and recieve alot better than my mids and I know mine are better quality but I put that down to having 5 mids as it gives more options to pass etc and there is less space between the passes.
I also did say to you, I dont think you'll be as weak as you think you're gonna be next season :)

Gratz vogue on the title.
thanks :)
Doesnt feel quite so good as the first but think thats mainly down to knowing you partly threw away your title with some untimely sales :P

the 3rd goal was the sort of goal I expected him to concede not the 2nd one. The ball wasn't bloody moving!!.

One thing quite a few of my players have now is high(ish) tackling so I actually wanted your guys to get the ball first cos they unlikely to dance round most of my guys.

Defensively I only have 1 slow defender now and he played pretty well to be fair, likely should have moved him from the middle a long time agao but heyho.

That old guy I bought up front is actually pretty tasty and I might have played him even if Kiss was fit and the other end of things Nevil was rubbish but ur defenders are pretty good so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt :).

I think I did throw it away a bit, it was last weeks game. Hyam up front just wasn't good enough and for some reason Nevil ran straight through my defenders somthing your boys couldn't do. And then Nevil plays pish against you. boo hiss :)

As for the passing thing I think the fact I have 3 of the midfielders quite well placed for long passes lets me move the ball quite well even with weaker players than yours in the midfield. But well all if's and buts :)

I shouldn't have sold when I did.
Nevill beat me up last week which was a nightmare game really.
Divine keeper can't pick up a ball thats stopped :)

But on a plus side I do quite like the look of my squad and I should have quite a bit better stadium soonish into next season

As for you I think you deserved the title. hitting over 60 is very impressive and you'll eb big time favs to retain the double next season.

Onwards and upwards :)

Just watched the game again and I see what you mean by the 2nd goal now :P
Didnt realise the first time I watched it but I dont think it was quite as bad as you thought either. He fumbled a cross which I guess he shouldnt have really but after that, it was down to pace where Letheran is faster and got to the ball first :)

Defensively I only have 1 slow defender now and he played pretty well to be fair, likely should have moved him from the middle a long time agao but heyho.

I think I mainly mentioned the pace thing due to Gasweiski being chased down by Smithe and both have the same pace but Gasweiski has more tech than pace so really shouldve kept the same distance between them going by the general consensus that a player can only run as fast as his tech allows him to when he has the ball.
Aint looked at Smithes form but Gasweiski is in unearthly form so a lil suprised by that and we learn something new everyday :)

As for the passing thing I think the fact I have 3 of the midfielders quite well placed for long passes lets me move the ball quite well even with weaker players than yours in the midfield. But well all if's and buts :)

Thats what I meant :P
Having 5 mids allows you to place 3 close by in the middle of the pitch to allow better passing between the team :)

But on a plus side I do quite like the look of my squad and I should have quite a bit better stadium soonish into next season

I was never in doubt of your team not becoming weak and I fully expect to see somewhere in the top 3 by the end of next season :)

As for you I think you deserved the title. hitting over 60 is very impressive and you'll eb big time favs to retain the double next season.

Not sure I agree with either statement there :P
I still think you played a massive part in the title this season ;)
Also, with my season of tech training next season with strikers playing with MID orders, I truly aint expecting to win the title. Not saying I dont stand a chance but I think i'll have to BB as favs for the league.

If I manage to make it to the final of the cup, I may be tempted to do 1 week of pace or scoring to have a go at the cup but other than that 1 week, it will be tech for defo :)
