Well I've got to go for it again as we have always done the 2 seasons rotation, however we have quite a few new guys so thought I'd go official and start a thread.

What can I offer?

Well I'm one of the most experenced Welsh managers in the game and have been fairly successful. I've actually hindered my teams progress by basically training only Welsh players and a quick scan of the u21's and NT will see plenty of players who have spent some time at the Oak. Shows a bit of dedication if nothing else :).

I'm not going to say that I can produce a Welsh u21 side who can compete with the best and qualify, because anybody with half a brain can so how difficult that would actually be for us. What I will do is not embarres us, experence can go quite a long way at this sort of level.

There will be no complicated scouting system in place because at the moment with the size of Wales thats pointless. Just a nice simple database nicely kept up to date so it can be passed on to the next manager.

Not sure what more you want me to put, but please feel free to ask any questions you like and we go from there.

all the best

Matt

indeed: the number of Cymru managers went the wrong way ... The nation is too small atm to be any higher on the list ... And ofc the choice of opponents. Though the latter might be an advantage when it comes to seeding in a few weeks for the wcq itself :)

the size doesn't matter it's those in the country that matters
2009-04-28 18:48:51
Size does matter sadly. With the U21's even more than the full NT.
With the full NT, we can rely on dedicated trainers for our players but when it comes to the U21, we have very limited players due to age restriction and as we are a small nation we have less players and even less top quality juniors coming through.
Once again, the more, the merrier :)

Just wanna add too as I have replied to a few of your posts now on different threads, i'm not trying to pick faults by disagreeing with you btw, just wanted to give a differenet view to things :P

Those in the country does matter too though and can help loads if the community is dedicated to improving our NT's so i think everyone will agree with you on that part :)

i would prefer you say my faults as i know it would help.

I just dont wanna go scaring off new managers so I try to be as nice as possible :)
I'm always happy to give advice though if asked :)
