Don't understand this

My team won 8-1 in the last top of the table league clash. My supporters are madly in love with the club, and yet my sponsor income dropped 7000 this week. What's going on? I was expecting it to increase not collapse?

wierd

mines kept going up, even when i was losing to rhyl and methyr tydfil

you lost your friendly with 5-0
2009-06-13 09:22:41
Well your rankpoints are 2241 your opponents are 1829. So even an 8-1 win dont have much effect on your sponsors. And keep in mind you lost your friendly, friendlies also effect sponsors (and supporters).

But just like you i cant see the logic in this, but thats just the way it is:-(

That is really wierd

I didn't think friendlies had any relevance to supporters. Its just for training?

supporters mood or supporters sub. cards

As of this season your supporters reaction to victories and defeats will change. Your supporters shall be less disappointed if they lose to a stronger team, especially if the score line was close. If you marginally lose against a much stronger team the chances are your supporters mood could rise as they will see this as good progress. As always there is a dark side. If you lose against a weaker team you can expect your supporters to be very upset at this loss and have a severe mood swing. Also when playing against weaker opposition it will be harder for you to please your supporters as they will now expect you to win comfortably.

These changes will affect league games, play-off games, friendlies and cup games.
Please be aware that the influence of supporters mood after a game was always calculated depending on the strength of the opposition and score, now it will be more visible.

I said Sponsors, not supporters.

The rules say nothing about sponsor income dropping if you lose a friendly, as far as I could see?
2009-06-13 19:25:09
Sponsor money is directly related to the mood of your fans.

more reason why i shouldn't join the w. invitational

But it's unlikely you'd get a worse supporter mood, because most of the teams (if not all) would be ranked higher than you. Therefore you'd have to lose very, very badly to lose supporter mood.
2009-06-13 23:07:48
which is probably very likely even with reserve and 2nd teams
2009-06-13 23:19:52
With your ranking compared to mine, you'd prob have to lose by 10 or maybe even 15 nil to me for your supporter mood to drop :P

Supporter Mood --->
Mood: Your supporters are madly in love with their club

It doesn't get any higher than that!! So where's the sense in Sponsor income dropping 7K. Its a big drop, abut 15% of the total? and I still don't have a decent explanation.

I understand the rules have changed, but it seems extreme.

As Morsey said, Maybe its not a good idea to play a big team anymore;, as there's no point getting an extra 7 K revenue, if its lost because you lose a friendly.

That's a little odd.

Have there been any changes in your league, e.g. a new team, or a team turning into a bot? Supposedly this also affects the amount you get from the sponsors.
