ddraig [del] to All
So close!

Almost got the result of my Sokker career so far, just beaten on penalties by Vogue. What a match, I'd highly recommend watching for tension alone ;)

How did everyone else do?

We'll use this topic I'll delete the other one.

I got a walkover, might watch your game later. Would have been a huge win if you could have pulled it off
2009-09-16 22:08:28
It went one way, then the other, twisting all over the place. I'll get a Premier side next season :P
2009-09-16 22:10:23
Unlucky ddraig, there's always next season.
2009-09-16 22:12:13
There are a few you'd take now tbh.

I'm more than happy with the boys effort anyway, it was a very evenly matched game. Neither side deserved to lose, but there can only be one winner in the end.

If only we'd rested another couple of players at the weekend it could have been an even better result.
2009-09-16 22:13:45
I could probably have dynamic destroyers ;)
2009-09-16 22:13:55
True, if you had me, I think I'd have lost around, say, 15-0 by now :P
2009-09-16 22:14:54
You would, and the Jacks, and perhaps the Wrexfiles
2009-09-16 22:15:44
I was joking, the destroyers just keep on giving away 5-0 walkovers :D
2009-09-16 22:16:40
Let me have them next year in round 3 :P

On the other side of the coin that certainly wasn't Vogue's first team although it wasn't his worst side either.

He played Loveless on one leg to start with. I'd be interested to hear Vogues thoughts actually.

I'm under no illusions, it definitely wasn't his best side.

On the other hand it wasn't my best side either, although not too far away. I just wish I'd played full reserves on Sunday and I'd probably have managed a win. As it was, it was pretty close, definite progress anyway :)

I'm not ready for the Premier yet, but getting close.

Phew is all I can say to that game as I keep my record going of never being knocked out before the quarters :P

@Matt, bad form and low stam is all I really need to say :)
I was so worried about that game after seeing the preformances of the last 2 weeks, I was actually happy I didnt find a 2nd keeper and I even put in Casteneda for a lil extra security at the back even if he did play crap. Reason for Loveless in there was for training only and him playing crap was expected due to a 6 day injury left on him.

Funny how brilliant or unearthly defending wasnt enough to tackle his strikers on numerous occasions though and everytime my keeper kicked the ball out, it just came back :P

One more thing to add, I wont be winning the cup this season :P
