The infamous U21 coach has raised this new thread to try and understand and possibly organise the Cymru U21 training requirements and even influence the training regimes for some clubs wanting to gather U21 Caps for their Players
I have created the above poll to identify what your immediate and longer term training preferences are! i.e. How are you trying to develop your squad.
This season the U21 squad was drastically diminished, and we are really struggling to put out a full decent team, without injuries or Red card withdrawals. We are severely lacking in Defenders this season, and realistically have only a single decent defender (Cliff Downes) with edovann insisting on making Alf Dugmore a defensive Midfielder.
NOTE; As we are one of the smaller communities in Sokker, we really need some Defender trainers to shine in the next few seasons, and even now
We currently have a great midfield, I remember a few seasons back where this was our weakest area, but now with Tipton, Seward, Dugmore & Money, we're really in the money, as Bevan would say. plus we've got Cymru's first Unearthly Junior, Probin, well on his way to making his first team place guaranteed, and we've got an inexhaustible supply of subs, so no worries in this department.
In attack, we seem to have most of the Welsh Premiership training strikers, so even though this season, this is another weak area, I expect Ryan Isaac to shine next season, plus hopefully, Barton and a few others will sparkle, so not a major concern, especailly as most games we need to play Italian Tank style and park the bus!
We have an outstanding Goalkeeper in Vinnie Fozer ( We always seem to have great keepers, ever since Vaughn Whistone ( El God ) appeared on the scene, and we have another new GK Vaughn Andrews (only 19) quickly making a name for himself.
So fill in the poll, and lets see where we can try and develop a more allround better Cymru U21 and ultimately Senior squad for future seasons.
Thanks

Well you are well aware of what I am training but I'd like to add I'd happily shift to defending training to help out the NT.
Problem would be finding homes for Elias, Smithe, Money, Tipton & Overton. We'd have to insure they continued to be trained (Overton could be changed into a defender mind with the right training) and that is quite a bit of work to organise.
However if it turns out none of us are training defending i'll change.
(Vogue get ready to sell some players to buy some of my trainnees mate :P)
Edit : Have been looking for a new challenge tbh so maybe this could be the starting point.

Now from the senior side :P
We may need defenders in our U21 but I can say for sure, the last thing we need is a load of young defenders coming through as we already have bucketloads in the seniors. In fact, it is easily the strongest part of our team and most likely will be for a fair few more seasons to come.
Our midfield is starting to look more promising but only due to the likes of yarworth(23) down to Overton(18) with a nice amount in between. Losing one of our main mid trainers would be bad imo and we need to find some sort of balance to keep those mids coming through aswell as defenders. Hopefully this thread will give us a better idea of where we stand though.

If you do decide to change training Matt, which in all honesty, I hope you dont even though i'd love to get my hands on a couple of your mids, gimme some decent notice so I can sort my team out for who to sell first :P
edit: forgot to mention, mid training here :P

I can easily change to defending, since I have only Huw Gray being trained as striker, the others are non-welsh or they are not good to make the team.
So if no one is training defenders, I can do it

If matt does decide to change, i'll be selling ackrill and barton so there's 2 for you :P
I'm sitting in almost 2mil waiting for a welsh striker trainee
Well, having Probin, I guess I'm sticking with midfield training.... unless someone offers me an awful lot of cash for Probin ;)
Well after reading this I'll stay with midfielders!
As for Probin well I'd sell my club to get him so if you do decide to sell him let me know :)

We could always swap teams, that's much the same ;)
Edit:
Actually having looked at your team, I'll think I'll stick with mine :P
