a guiz?

help of the day: don't set a freekick taker ;)
2009-12-26 13:17:51
why?
2009-12-26 13:25:53
if the freekick is just outside the box there is a chance the striker is the closest guy and will take the freekick. Which is much more dangerous than a midfielder taking the kick. For the freekicks more away from the goal, I guess all Cymru (midfield) players have enough passing to give a decent pass or cross :)

Of course, that's only my idea (and what I do), so maybe you have reasons to set a freekick nonetheless :)

also to add I'm guessing Johnson is going to be on the right so he'll have to travel all across the field to take the bloody things obviously leaving gaps where he should be

i have changed now, don't worry.

@ Langhe, cheers

I have always set a freekick taker myself but that has always been loveless who always plays in the middle. I dont really like setting freekick takers if they have to run from one side to the other. Loveless does like to take a swing at the goal every so often but more often than not he will pass the ball out wide to the wingers who then crosses it in.

Personally, I dont think there is no right or wrong for setting freekick takers as both arguments has their merits :)

But we are agreed letting a wideman take it is prob not a good idea

Our analysis team are giving their view on free-kicks:)

But which method is better? Pre-set taker or no pre-set?

It's thrilling stuff

lol my thoughts? we should totally tonk Ghana.

I'd have liked to have seen a better player than Smithe in that no.8 shirt (likely Loveless because he is the best we have by quite some) but other than that hopefully no injuries and about 10 goals will do

2009-12-26 13:48:07
oh and I wouldn't have played Grey, he's quite old. I'd have tried somebody else there

Thank you Matt.

What are your thoughts about the experience Morsey will gain?
2009-12-26 13:49:49
He likely won't learn that much from this game tbh. Ghana are one of the worst sides on sokker.

If we somehow manage to loose then that will be an experence!
