Rioting fans have delayed the Skylarks' upcoming kick-off in protest, after manager Adam Harrison and chairman LP announced the sale of three old-guard defenders :- Ernie Ingle, Radoslav Lekic and Alvin Waite. The Skylarks Fan Club has already expressed distaste at the selling of the old guard, of which only Zbeignew Detmer and Alexandre Florio remain.
SFC spokesman Stephen Davis had this to say - 'Recently, the club have gone insane. Sales of club legend Aurelio Nelis and captain Rod Helliwell hurt enough, but it seems the board wish to eradicate the old guard.'
Skylarks' manager, Adam Harrison, had this to say - 'Recently, our finances have been hit hard, and many of the 'Old Guard' began to demand higher wages. We have cut the players not integral to the club.'
