The 16yo would be put into the 40 player provisional squad so I could safeguard against sacking.
The 21yo would (goddamn hopefully :P) be better, and therefore play.
Like I have noted before, the effects of 16yos one and half weeks of extra training will be usually quite average.
However, if the younger player is near or equivalent in skills, then they (unless they are seriously lacking form) will get the squad if they do not get 100% already and the coach refuses to upgrade his coaches a little.

why not rhys? I would rather have a 16yo in the U21 squad who has main squad NT potential and play him instead of a non-NT potential player. Like i say, we will never win anything in the U21, so we should just use it to train those players who will be future NT prospects.
