I plan to play teams similar to us. That means to achieve my aim of getting to the 3rd pot, I have to play the best players possible. If a 18yo is the best choice, then sure I'll play him, but if the best choice is a 21yo, then I'll play him as well. Your idea to rotate players really makes no sense.
Well first of all i dont see how rhysyboy' and LloydE' contribution helps, 2 of the most active users here wont have a junior school.
Well, i just more variety could be an answer. Talent is hard to find in such a small country but without attempting to find it or use and possible talent, how will we ever improve? Obviously i would have to use some 21yr olds in the games, but we shouldn't be playing a full strength team every game. By searching for younger talent, some owners may spend more time training that certain player as they know he has a possible future.
We have 4 U20 players in our squad. So whats going to happen next year? Any possible talent we find will surely be crap. Then the whole idea of this "U21 WC" dream LP keeps going on about will be in tatters.
As a nation we should maybe try and start a long-term plan. Bigger countries with a bigger userbase dont need to do such things as they have more players but i think Cymru should consider one as there is no harm in trying. Like you say, we are never going to win the WC, we are never going to rule Sokker, but we should be trying to improve what we have in bigger numbers not in numbers of 11-13 players.

1st point - fair enough. If they can't pay for it they can't pay for it.
2nd point - Have you ever heard of scouting? You won't find a players talent by sticking them in the U21's. They are called future players for a reason, when they are good enough they will play. Until then, whats the point? I even said in my speech I keep in contact with managers, I have two ex-juniors who will be England U21 soon, and I keep in touch with the managers, and also, we have 40 places in the U21 squad. I don't see why we can't stick a future player in there to protect him.
3rd - Related to the second. You can put 40 players in the 'privisional' squad, why not? And it's a game. I don't expect to win the WC, but it'd be nice to actually look competitive, learn some things along the way. Sharoni123 did it with Latvia NT, it's nice to have a dream.
4th - I partially agree here. I will fiddle with our U21NTDB to keep and eye on the best players of each age, put the best potential in our provisional, and scout TL/TA. This is a much more basic, yet effective and forward plan than yours.

Well if you can tell me an easier solution of improving our team go ahead, but i dont see how using the best we have each game a solution.
The team and the future of the team are different things entirely.
The future of the team will be improved greatly by keeping tabs on the future/fringe talents. You could quite easily get that extra week of training that your plan would involve by (politely) asking the owner to buy better assistants ;)

Well the junior school is a lottery, and considering I don't know their finances (though I know Lloyd is in debt badly) I can't condemn or condone it. I for one shut down my junior school to improve coaching of my youths, and will reopen it once my finances become stable.
I did think of that, "asking them" to possibly improve their coaching of the player, but if they aint being played, i dont think they will bother.
You'd be suprised. Take a look at Cranfield, an ex-junior of mine. I sold him to someone, who was giving him the wrong training, I asked him to change his training, he refused, so I asked him to sell him, and he did. Cranfield is now Englands best winger, as his new owner changed his training plans to train him when I asked him, saying that he was one of England's most important future players.
You don't have to play games to get people interested, you'll find the promise of it is just as effective.

well just been searching through, now from outlooks they look okay, i dont know skills so i cant say nothing about it, but why should these not be in the U21?

You have to ask wrexhamboyo that, as he only has 17 players in the provisional.
And he has Rees Blewett - who looks like this (I asked his manager nicely)
unsatisfactory stamina hopeless keeper
poor pace average defender
very good technique magical playmaker
adequate passing unsatisfactory striker
So you know, value isn't everything (Blewetts is 300k and look at him)

i know, like i said, i didn't know the skills but this is what we should be doing is looking and advising
Well if I get the job, I'll ask you in helping me keep in contact with future players so we know their stats and scouting, and I'll offer to help in doing so if you get the job.
Does that sound fair?

No problem. I suppose we have different ways of approaching it, so we just wait till tomorrow evening now.
