At the moment I have 6 that I consider to be forwards.
I'm training pace at the moment though, so once I get knocked out of the cup tomorrow I'll be able to draft a few in to train for the rest of the season, which I hope will be a useful way to identify talented players.
Next season I'll move onto tech training, so I'll be able to train 10 if I set my forwards as mids.

I have money to spend on a Welsh trainee if one pops up, training pace then playmaker for the next two seasons.
I´m sorry to say but in "my opinion", that´s not the way to train a player

I have some money too and I want to buy some Welsh young striker
What is the net difference between training one skill for a long time, then switching to another compared to mixing between skills?
none :)
we get 7 skills full general training
if you split up training, you het 8 skills with less than full general training (as you have trained some of them)
Sum of general training in both cases is the same.

are you taking the age factor in this logics or residual training?
for strikers example
expend 12 weeks training pace, with a 4 talent will be 3 pops in a season
the next season you will train 12 weeks of technique with a player wich have one year older (in this season maybe you dont get the complete 3 pops)
the next season you will train 12 weeks of striker with a player wich have two years older (in this season maybe you dont get the complete 3 pops)
and in the matters of using the player in U21, its useless because its incomplete until you expend the 3rd season of training wich is the time where you more or less complete the skills.

btw, one of the players that refuses to show the skills is Phillip Ruchards, looks like a nice young midfielder, hope the owner show the skills of the player and could be good enought at his age
none :)
That was pretty much the point I was driving at ;-)

I guess general training also decreases with an older age. So i still think it's a 'no gain, no loss' situation if you switch training or not.
Might only be visual when a player stops being trained that I have a guy with lots of general trainings on some skills and you dont. But thats only important for TL price, as players play according to their skills, also the extra's that aint visible (so the lots of general trainings my lad has) :)

Im just say this, residual training doesnt pop much quick training in this way like the other way
back in NT issues, Its a lot of young players incomplete trained.
I found a superdivine defender with excellent pace and 23 years old :s
an unearthly striker with magical pace and GOOD technique with 24 years old :s
another unearthly striker + very good pace + adequate technique???
come on! what is that???
