Sokker Improvements
On cold and snowy days, at least in Europe, we've been introducing scripts with modifications and fixes completed in the past months.
Modifications on this version:
- The ability to set a second tactic on the lineup page and the possibility to change it using any condition in the match orders.
- Sticky topics on forum.
- A new "events" section on the league page which summarizes the events of teams in that division (e.g. transfers). There will also appear on every club page which show the events in that club.
- The amount of conditional orders have been increased.
- The charge for setting a minimum starting bid on listing a player to the Transfer List is now reduced from 4% to 2.5%, but the tax upon selling the player has been increased from 4% to 5%. We hope more users will use that option to set higher, and safer, minimum starting bids.
- Internal scripts have been rebuilt, little bugs fixed and tweaks (like in associations; possibility to moderate by editors, but also currency problems with minimum starting bid prices etc)
- Plus payments page rebuilt.
- Player and trainer transfer reminders. (currently on email and as notification)
- Possibility of translations added on various pages where there was previously the English language with a dot by it. (translation in progress)
With this new version, admins can now withdraw transfers. This option will be used only in reasonable situations, like during server breakdowns, where few transfers were executed without a bid war (but not during slow server work when most transfers were executed normally), so don't expect that your transfer will be canceled, just because you think the price is too low :)
To be sure of getting the right price, set your player with a reasonable minimum starting bid.

It is a good news, but I think they could do much more for this game. But this a plus nevertheless;)
I guess it's all one step at a time. I was surprised to see how little things had changed after I'd been away from the game for a couple of years, so it's time that developments were made.
Soon they will reveal some other interesting news, but I can`t tell you more because some of them are still in the testing zone.
As you said, as long as they try something new I`m oki with that. Fore some time I was very disappointed for the dryness period in sokker.
It is a bit of a balancing act. Change for the sake of it will just annoy people, but I think it's pretty clear that there are things that can be improved here that are not *that* hard to sort.
For me for instance the biggest and annoying bug was the one with the GK when he got injured and there wasn`t no one to substitute him and the team remained without a keeper. As I remember it happend in a NT game, Hungary vs Spain, quarterfinalls in U21 WC.

From the new Sokker Improvements I can say that these two were absolutely necessary:

This improvement will give the managers a more interactive vision when preparing their games. I eagerly await Wednesday`s cup match to test this new possibility.

I always needed more conditions when dealing with my matches. As I`m used to cover the misfortune of getting red cards I always tried to cover this fields and could not do as many substitutions as I wished to make. Know everything is easier.

Have you tried the additional tactic in today`s cup match?
It was quite interesting. It makes the game more complex and it`s harder for us to counter-balance our opponent.
As an advice you should try it in a friendly or cup match not in an official one for the first time. It`s better to have an idea of what are you dealing with:)
