think you're missing the mark, 2 of our managers are still building their team and don't have the flexibility to fully train their players yet, and i still advise them to put their team first, whether that's having a high turn over and focusing on pace and expanding their stadium for max revenue vs bots. not sure how britain is doing for talent either but most of my good talents are still 10+ weeks away (2 players with expected 3-3,5 talent), and our other manager, sporting, has never responded or said anything in my entire time playing this game, even when i messaged him about possibly selling his player to me.

but this also seems like chatGPT / copy paste, i'd rather give rhys or jay a run, so they can experiment formations from a bigger mix of players.

just for reference these are the players we have moving forward into next season that i sorted as having at least a 20 SUM in their position, i put a minimum of 25 for mids because we had a larger selection. (so their SUM is higher, but this SUM is based on attributes for their pos).






we lack some decent young defenders, and attackers are lacking a bit too, mids seem fine for now since we have a decent range of CMs and wingers.

Crumpton in the attackers has cracked me up. A Welsh Brazilian if ever there was one, imagine going for a single name and ending up with Crumpton!

i mean the game isn't realistic for the welsh team, not enough jones and williams. my surname is considered french so i see plenty of them in the french numbers. we seem to get a mix of different things from england, scotland, ireland. not one bale or giggs, no williams or jones in the 80, 90 odd players i've got in the DB. I guess most of the first names are welsh, a lot of dylan, mefin, dafydd.

don't forget sporting's welsh belgian/dutchman.

I don’t think the Welsh player name database has changed since my first stint - it’s basically a list of Cymru Premier players from the early 2000s and a couple of National team squads from the same time period. In England you can see it’s drawn from Premier League squads, even youngsters who are making their debuts with distinctive names are straight in the game somehow!

We certainly need more Joneses in the team, it’s a crying shame in both Sokker and real life. I’d like to represent us myself but unfortunately I’m crap so the wait goes on for another Jones to come through the system.

As I am a linguist for Czech language, I can add any name I want to the database. :) Even the funny names for CZ community I added little german joke names like Karl von Banhoff (Charles from station), which appeared in one czech commedy film, Harry Potter names translated to to CZ etc. So if you will write to https://sokker.org/cz/app/team/24878/, he can arrange you or anyone as a linguist, so you can change everything in your language, even add the names etc. :)

That is a useful tip, cheers! I had a look at one point, I don't think Jones is actually in as a Welsh name on here (I couldn't find any in the system anyway).

I only have write access to the Scottish names, fairly sure.

I got a request to add Hungarian names and it didn't work.
