I remember years ago.

The subject of Northern Ireland was discussed. But the Irish community voted to be unified in the sokker world. Don't think Northern Ireland was ever created here. I remember 2 of the Irish users were Northern.

There have been real Anglo Scottish tournaments etc.

Most recently the Scottish Challenge Cup.
Although seems to have reverted to all Scottish again.

Proper Celtic Cup would be nice.

Teams from

Scotland
Ireland
Wales
Cornwall
Isle of Mann
Brittany
Galicia
Asturias

I created such a tournament in Football Manager actually.

Included the Welsh teams playing in England too :)

no such thing as gt tanymore true and formation training would be accurate, still point stands: isnt advanced.

British leagues have to combine, and then given the choice to what country they want to represent. But it will never happen, my short time on this game I've seen barely anything develop and most concerns/requests rarely get considered and then just like life I guess, increase sub costs when there are tools out there that do as good or better job.

Going by current user numbers, assuming no alt acocunts/dead users, combined we'd have less than germany, if we add ireland for fun, then just slightly more than germany.

There definitely is general training.
Furthermore players receiving formation or advanced training get general training.

Big changes take time. Often when ideas are muted there are lots who don't want any changes.

Some of the interesting ideas are about new global competitions. I doubt a British league would happen. Just a interesting thought. If it did I guess we'd all have to be representing the union jack. Can't see Scotland accepting that universally.
I've looked at other games in the past. No Scottish option, don't even bother registering.

The game needs work just to stay as is.
The environment all around changes. So work is needed to stay working in that.

Nice to see a new face. I am new here so can offer no advice other than to confirm that it still takes a long time to get established. The finances are very tight!

Good luck to you both.
Stick at it.
For me the training is the most rewarding part of the game. Once your trainees are reaching potential you'll become competitive too.

then tell me what GT is

FT + AT

how to play explains "general training" as how good your coach and assistants are e.g. you wanna trian pace then have your coach with as high pace stat as possible for more effectiveness....

why am i even explaining this.

TLDR, you want your players to grow quicker/more efficienty, advanced training + unearthly coaching stat (e.g. pace, passing etc).
To get more efficient/accurate youth then higher the overall coach stat is most important rather than any individual stat.

my friend has been playing since 2008, and respectively, he says one of the biggest changes was the training overhaul + transfer market blowing up.

I'm sure combining the UK + Ireland leagues have been discussed years before any of us mentioned it, sure i get patriotic stances, one of the main reasons why I chose Cymru, I'm Welsh and even though most of my IRL interest is around the PL and english leagues in general, why not represent my nation - well if I could change, i would join my mate in netherlands, or just switch to poland for competitiveness.

What do you mean by the transfer market blowing up? Fees don’t seem as high as they did a few years ago at a glance.

@jay Jay - nice to be back!

Wasn't around at the time.
But when seasons moved from 16 to 13 weeks. The market would have been in turmoil for a while.

Suddenly youngers have far less training time. A deliberate ploy to cut down on maxed out players. Older players would have more skills compared to the next generation of that age.

This was 12 seasons ago so we are now at where only a few oldies experienced that extra weeks

I hear ye. I switch off if there is too much reading.

This player shows general training at work.
Shows only trained in playmaking and passing. However there are pops in the other skills. Including a whole level in defending.
