Stolen from another forum here - starting a new thread for general advice and a place to show off potnetial youth players you want to show off.
In general if you have VIP then tracking your youth players is a lot easier however, there are free alternatives:
https://sktables.org/ - Been using this one recently, has a lot of different tools built into it and although some of the tools like the player evaluation may not always be accurate, still a very good tool once you learn to navigate it.
https://raqueto.com/sokker/asistente - I used this almost since the start, good to track your training and estimate how many weeks left before your player pops.

2 youngsters that will hopefully grow pretty good.

Both nice especially Glyn who is a defender or central mid. I'd say Dylan can be any position.

Rodney Leah, age: 17
club: HDFC Phoenix, country: Cymru
value : 68 400 £
wage: 360 £
poor [3] form
weak [4] tactical discipline
height: 185 cm, weight: 80.7 kg, BMI: 23.58
formidable [11] stamina good [7] keeper
poor [3] pace hopeless [1] defender
unsatisfactory [2] technique hopeless [1] playmaker
poor [3] passing tragic [0] striker
Picked up this keeper a few weeks ago for £2, rotating him in and out of my team with my other keeper who's 21. Hoping he'll grow steadily from 17yo even if he's never quite good enough for a number 1 spot. He was added to the U21s at some point as well so that's a nice bonus at least!
On that point, our U21 manager logged in a few times in February but nothing since the 19th. Too late in the season now for it to matter really but what a pain.

Sure thing but at least we're in Cymru, nothing to really compete for, biggest money making is developing youth so you can have plenty of U19s playing in both league games for some sweet sweet pops.
But he looks ok, depends on what his talent is I guess. I was lucky Symonds came out with 7 pace 8 GK at 18, he's now sitting at 14 pace 18 GK.
Gonna get these guy's tech up a bit, then switch back to pace or whatever role they may be best for. talent maybe not that accurate but yates abd robinson are certainly ones to watch also.

First one out of my juniors, came through as good after consecutive pops

Shame he’s stronger in his positions than his left side stats but could do anything with him really

19 SUM at 16, not bad - shame he came out just before the new season but get that pace up all next season might be good.
Yeah going to keep hold of him I think, certainly no point selling until all the bonuses have come in but I want to try and keep hold of all the Welsh players I can to develop. The game has changed somewhat from the days when you needed all the strength you could get to compete!
Worth finding out if his talent is good.
Starting skills are nice but ultimately you can make him any player you want if the talent is reasonable.

1 in today, dropped to hopeless this week though so sacked as soon as he came in unfortunately. Got a very good rated junior coming out next week but will be 19 by then which is a shame!
dropped to hopeless, but didn't know talent? depends how badly his skillset was i guess, even if sum of 10 16yos might get sold
britain just got an 18yo 100k value, 1k salary, must have pretty good sum or is a gk.
He only had 2 attributes above tragic and they were both hopeless so I cut my losses - he only came into the academy 2 weeks ago just had a really short turnaround time
Saw that earlier, he’s been playing mid in the junior games so he’s definitely an outfielder - must be some player!
