Subject: Cymru - Season 73

3-2 win over Sporting in a brilliant game of football, we raced ahead 2-0 and were all over them, then they pulled us back to 2-2 early second half. Few chances either way then before Merla off the bench pinged one in off the post 87th minute to win, absolutely delighted!

That's a good result for you. Always a tough game.

More bot bashing for me. Got my training, so that's the main thing.

Tricky cup game next.

Think my time at the top will very shortly be coming to an end but really solid start and plenty of training for my players, even if they’re not the best juniors going.

Little Britain in the cup for me - should be some nice ticket revenue and see what happens. Chipping away at my stadium’s capacity too so ticket revenue is trending upwards nicely

A 0-3 defeat to Little Britain, we got 5 shots away though and forced a few saves from the keeper so chuffed with that - on another day we might have nicked and one and held out for 45 minutes at 0-0. Plenty of positives to take and a sold out stadium to boot. The drop off below 6th place is a big safety net but I feel like the foundations going into place are decent so far!

Interesting to see it looks like little Britain had a bit of a tactical change for the game, unless I've just missed them being in that shape before.

Got past the bot team, but was more stressful than the scoreline suggests. It's a shame, I lost a load of money at the start of the season while trying to get a new coach, so I haven't been able to get a better striker like I planned.

I play cwm next, so I imagine i will go out!

One last bot team, a 0-8 win over Swansea which was a much better performance again than I was expecting! The honeymoon period is about to come to an end but hoping to set up solidly and nick the odd goal.

Should be a good match between yourself and blue. Looks like he’s rebuilding, so you may have more chance than previously! I imagine he’s got some cash in the bank for putting a new team together soon….

Speaking of cash, I see little Britain’s just casually dropping 1.5 mill on a new player to keep tearing us apart….

Looking forward to playing human teams solidly for a month now - as good as the bots are for training it’s what the game’s all about. At least next season we’ll all be in the same half of the fixtures as well - it’s been fun at the top of the league but my season is basically over after I play the return game against Sporting!

Need new blood in my side and yes i swapped tactics last match.Have`nt needed to change anything for a while.keep forgetting about forum here.

Went down 1-6 to Blue, my striker missed 3 big 1 on 1s before finally scoring one! My tactic definitely punishes my defenders for a missed tackle against better teams but it’s a front foot tactic and we create a lot of chances still. Plenty to take from that and we played better once I’d subbed a few players in for training!

Not surprising you forget the forum. Been very quiet for a long time.

Some stronger ratings from blue there than recent games. Maybe flexing their muscles a bit? :D

Managed to get past cwm in a pretty tight match.

Bit of a makeshift line up with a midfielder playing up front. Amazingly that midfielder scored and was having a good game until he got injured winning a penalty. We missed the penalty and the guy who came on was carrying a knock and so struggled to do much.

We defended ok through the second half, but had a centre back sent off in the 89th minute. That lead to the longest end of a game ever waiting for the final whistle!

The injuries and suspensions mean our next match will be tough and I have no idea what sort of line up I can put out. But for now I can just be happy to have gotten to the cup final.

Congratulations mate! Will be a test next week but you never know in football. I’d probably give some of the first team a rest on Sunday to keep them fresh, you don’t want them burning out in this week of all weeks ;)

We put in a decent shift against Blue, his striker just absolutely punished me any time my defenders made a mistake or were slow getting into position. At least my training is back on course now, a couple of cameos for youngsters in the league next few weeks but for the most part I can use friendlies to get their minutes in (0-11 today is a learning experience for the boys)

I'm not confident for this weekend. A few players put and my old guys have lost a lot of skill this season. My financial mistake in the off season is biting me in the butt now as I have not been able to strengthen the squad as I would have liked.

One player can make a huge difference in this game. Especially if you have a striker that can dribble past the opponents centre back or is just way quicker.
