depends what you want from a manager, want to win? then i wouldn't put myself forward, i would mainly be focusing on development for whatever youngsters we have assuming we are in official comps.

Can the u21s help with development that much? A competitive game only gives like 85% training for 90 mins and experience doesn't seem to make much difference if any on player performance.

it's the same training as a friendly - what it means is that you can play other players more per week reducing injury risk. generally you want to hit 97% as much as you can, if not 100% each time, but 90 min int/friendly + 45 mins official is 97%, same other way round.

assume you are in the cup still, thats 3 official games per week + 1 friendly which is international - you can play your main team league match 1+2 then your young player in cup + international.
is it that useful? only when your players are really young and their sum are not high, so you reduce the effect in league + cup games by having 90 mins for international.

113 mins is the sweet spot to get exactly 100% in official games, which is 90 mins + 33 mins.
90 OT + 90 FT = 99%, which is still good for development

i forget a lot though, especially when i get busy IRL, sometimes i come back and i've forgotten to change players a lot, so i need to cut my squad down really so i can just set 2 teams each week.

edit: my friend said it CAN, not always, but can be useful when selling players later on too - assuming they develop decently enough since people will see ok he has something for NT to keep playing him. all just player by player basis i guess.

I guess it can be used to help the clubs get the minutes in for training, but the player isn’t going to be any better for having played in the u21s.

I do think it’s a bit of a shame that experience doesn’t have a bigger effect on performance of players. Seems like it just helps them to follow your formation a bit closer from what I can see.

Potentially big result for sporting there, managing to hang onto a draw. Previously I think phoenix looked likely to take 5th on goal difference. Now if sporting can win their games they will take the place. They have to play Swansea though, which I think could be a tricky one for them, so still all to play for there.

The result also closes the gap at the top to 1 point. That doesn't change much yet, Britain and blue still have to just try and win all their games for a chance at the title, but it all adds to the tension.

I play cym next. Will obviously be a very tough game, but I am the only team to beat them so far this season. Our last two games have been very tight, so I'd happily take any kind of result.

As I now have 3 big games in a row the injury gods have blessed me again. Main striker is out for the rest of the season. One more injury up front and I'll have to have a tactical re-think. Fingers crossed no more trainees get injured, that is my priority!

Fair to say my heart sank when I saw that result for Sporting! I’d be very surprised if they drop points from here now, but there we go. Still going to try and chase down the goal difference, you never know what might happen.

Cym dropping points there might just have opened up the top 4 battle now if you can take some more off them in the next few weeks!

I bet, it was unexpected but you just never know with this game!

Would be great if I can sneak something. I think it's better for a human to win the league rather than a bot, so if I can take points it opens it up for Britain and blue.

I don't think I have any chance from here. I'd have to win all last 3 games to even have a chance. Losing all 3 is a much safer bet!

Terrible performance, truly woeful. The players did everything possible to lose that game. Awful performance from every single player.... honestly the worst performance of any team I've ever put out.... I'm just stunned.

Only positive is that no trainees were injured. Of course we had our traditional injury to a striker to ensure we didn't score despite having loads of chances.

Red Dragons so close to taking a result off Sporting! See how they go next week against Swansea now as my last hope but decent enough for us. A big night at the top of the table going into the last few games, fair play to Blue!

Yeah, that is a huge result for blue. Makes their game against cym even bigger, if they lose the title goes to the bot team, but if they can win it's down to the last week... GD is massively on Britain's side though....

Think Blues players had they`re weetabix..Nice result. That tactic`s gone in the bin.

Just looking at Cym's team, 2 players out suspended for the game on Sunday. Will they have bench players come in automatically? Llewis Colts only had 9 against me to start earlier in the season so the game was a 5-0 forfeit, but they didn't have any bench to replace from.

Bench players but they`re old.

It's some of their better players that are out as well. I'd say blue are odds on to win that game now.

I've watched my game against cym back again. Tbh, it wasn't as bad as my initial reaction. We were the better team overall.

They only had 3 shots and the 2 goals they scored came from individual errors that were really just due to the player/s involved not being good enough on the ball. On another day you get away with those and it ends differently.

More frustrating was the quality of the final ball through the game. We had 11 shots, but probably should have had twice that many if there were some better passes to the striker.

Missing a penalty and then losing by a goal sucks too.

But, overall we are getting better.... just got to keep going.

A 3-way fight for the title then… will be an interesting final day! Hard luck Jay Jay, that’s a tough result to be on the end of.
