Subject: Cymru - Season 74
When I played against you it was a pretty good amount for a friendly.
Very entertaining game, which we managed to win 5-3. Loads of chances for both sides, luckily we took a couple more chances.
Really never expected a result like this, I thought it would be another 6-1 hammering tbh!

I think it was the game that the 6-1 should’ve been, both games were very even with lots of chances but we were clinical the first time and the second time you took more! The performance from your keeper in those last 15 minutes at 4-3 was ridiculous, fair play.
Most likely consigned to 5th in the league this season after that, barring an unlikely swing of results, but still moving forward. Still planning to sell a few and overhaul part of the squad for next season but most important to keep on trying to build my bank balance!

Hoping so - I’ve had a few decent bits of gate receipts from friendlies anyway but with the size of your stadium then it should definitely help. I’m not sure if being in the same country or number of previous fixtures or anything has an effect?
Tbh, I thought your lot were good value for the 6-1. The flood of new trainees, no tactical discipline and poor form meant you walked through our defence.
This game was more even, but we both forgot how to defend. We had about 20 shots each and both keepers did well, which is a bit mad to say about a game with 8 goals, but I think both keepers can say that their defences didn’t help them much on the day.
Still a long way to go in the league. I’m expecting to lose at least 3 more times, so plenty to play for. Would be nice if all human teams could finish higher than Cym though….

The high line was a big problem for me, any mistake from my defenders led to a 1-on-1 immediately and they got a lot more wrong than they did a few weeks ago! Great showing from the keepers, can't believe Curtis is only 21. It was a great game - a run of games against the bots now and then see if I can nick a result from Cym. Not quite going to be enough this year but that team isn't getting any younger at least.
Curtis has done well for me. Not that high level in youth team, but has still turned out OK. I don’t think there is much competition for Welsh u21 keepers, but it’s been nice having him get a few caps there.
I still think you have a good chance of finishing higher than me, if I’m doing my maths correctly!
And yes, cym aren’t getting younger, but they still are tough to beat….

Cym nearly taken down by Swansea last night, that would've been a fantastic result even if they were held to a draw but unfortunately not to be.
Yep, they always seem to survive!
Their defenders look like they are getting a bit worse, but their keeper is still strong, so they could be a problem for a while yet...

Finally through the bot fixtures - season hangs on the game against Cym on Wednesday for me! Avoided any injuries tonight which was the main thing. Hoping for a grandstand finish to the season now to try and climb up above 5th.
Not sure whether to wish you luck or not!
If you lose or draw i have a chance to hold on to 4th, but if you win you will probably just sneak past me. At least we have something to play for...

Great result for phoenix. Looking at fixtures i reckon you will finish the season with 2 more points than my team. :(
Had the better chances and managed to finally take one to turn Cym over! Absolutely delighted with that, certainly opens up the table for the end of the season. Have to say though, I’d be very surprised if you don’t at least draw with them. It’s a very old squad but they’ve declined a lot since I played them first time around this season, that keeper is still a problem though!
My trainee defenders aren't great at the moment. I can see them having trouble with those attacking players.
Maybe we can outscore them? I guess we'll wait and see, the team has surprised me a couple of times this season.

I’d back you in that game now - to be honest after that game last night I’d expect them to end up 5th with the final fixtures for the top block of teams you’ve all got. Could definitely see Sporting nicking a result off them as well for sure.
Comfortably beaten by Blue tonight but sets up our run in - 9 points is an absolute must.
Very on the fence at the moment about selling Huw Lambert at the start of next season, my last original player but he’s got a season of U21s NT football left next season. I’d like to cash in on as many players as I can now to free up the funds to invest in the club for the long term, but concerned that he’s the perfect level that someone new to the game might pick him up, log in once more and that’s it. Only way I can close the gap is to sell and re-invest, but I don’t want to end up with young Welsh players being ruined!
