Subject: Cymru - Season 74

Comfortably beaten by Blue tonight but sets up our run in - 9 points is an absolute must.

Very on the fence at the moment about selling Huw Lambert at the start of next season, my last original player but he’s got a season of U21s NT football left next season. I’d like to cash in on as many players as I can now to free up the funds to invest in the club for the long term, but concerned that he’s the perfect level that someone new to the game might pick him up, log in once more and that’s it. Only way I can close the gap is to sell and re-invest, but I don’t want to end up with young Welsh players being ruined!

I think for newer teams like us you don't have much choice. It starts to cost a lot to keep those trainees, so we just have to hope someone decent picks them up.

Perhaps look at it as a step towards being a team that can train those players in future? I'm hoping to be in that position in the next few seasons.

Well, that was pretty terrible. Deserved loss, but not because Cym were good, we were just bad all across the pitch.

I’m not surprised about the defence leaking goals, I had 3 18 y/o players in the back 4, but I was surprised by my midfield and attack. I’d been enjoying watching the midfielders playing aggressive forward passes in behind defences, but today they showed off their skills at passing backwards…. My forwards just ignored chances to shoot….. even the keeper decided to drop an easy ball to give a goal.

Next week should be fun. Britain then Blue and my only decent defender got injured at the end of this game. I’d bet on two 15-0 losses! Not that it really matters.

So looks like we’re limping into 5th for this season. Bit disappointed to end the season so limply, but we’ve made good progress with the trainees. Give us a couple of seasons and we should be a bit better…

Was praying for a draw but not to be unfortunately, hard luck and frustrating to see Cym dig it out.

Fair play to Blue, down to the wire for the title now you never know with Cym, they have the ability to get a result whenever.

They do just seem to get these results, but like I say, I think it was my team that did the damage to themselves!

Great result for blue. It’s still in little Britain’s hands, but they have slipped up against Cwm before, so who knows?

Some interesting matches to decide the season on Wednesday now then. Sporting away for me looks in the table like a win and after getting a result earlier in the season, but absolutely not a sure thing and I think it’ll be a tough game. No injuries though so fully loaded to go for it at least.

I predicted 15-0, it ended up 5-0.... judging by the stats it looks like 15-0 would have been fair though!

I expected it and just glad to get the training sorted for half my trainees. The rest will go in against Little Britain next week, so just hoping for no injuries there and keep plodding along.

A 4-0 win which was more comfortable than anything I was expecting to confirm 4th place. Delighted with that - I’m sure next season Jay Jay you’ll be back ahead of me but pinning my hopes on Cym continuing to slide to make it my own for the next season or two.

Time to consolidate and fill in the gaps in the stadium now, bit of a squad overhaul in progress to boost the bank account as well.
