Subject: [U21] Cymru U21 talk

Tomorrow will be a U20 match as agreed with the peru manager so won't be expecting much since a lot of quality we have is at 21 but who knows, looking to experiment early see what i can push the players to do.

ul, some early mistakes from the def lead to easy conceded goals, after that, was pretty much back and forth before super sub ed o'brien whacks a volley at the end.

certainly with the 21 yos will be better results (hopefully).

Just watched the game back, a very decent start when you look at the ratings difference and especially after that first 10 minutes.

Anything you’re after in particular for training we can pitch in with? I gave Adrian Rees a run out in the cup last night but subbed him off to keep him from injury - in terms of training my trainees aren’t amazing though, he’s the best one so I can happily be led by him.

depends where you want to take rees, used him as def in the game since U20 options were low, he could make a good CM/DM, pace to 10 this season, then needs tech/pm, passing can be done later since it should train quicker, but it's up to you how you're setting your season training.

however if you do intend to train as a def, then i'd spend all this season pace, maybe he gets to 12/13, then needs def for 2 seasons to get anywhere near 15/16, so it's up to you how you want him to turn out. either way he also needs half a season/full season of tech and passing, if def he doesn't need them as high but high pm + higher passing will mean he's a useful hoofer in def instead of randomly hitting it out.

so before i go on another rant, i'll do my best to sum it up
central def: pace+def (tech, passing)
side def: pace+def+pm+tech (passing)

they don't anything stupid high in tech, 8 is not a bad aim especially when they're in good form, just means they stop heavy touches when recieving a pass or intercepting.

just to add to my add - i sold 2 defs a few seasons ago: one had 17 def, 17 pace, 9 tech, 10 pass, 6 pm - sold for 3m
the other def had 17 pace, 16 def, 11 tech, 8 pass, 8 pm - sold for 4m

a factor was the form too, he was in higher form but i think if form were the same, there would be more spent on the higher tech and pm.

despite not having that many options at the back, i will try a classic 532 formation and see how it goes.

well, 1 shot 1 goal, not the best tactic approach but worth a shot and walked away with something.

Always useful to have in the back pocket, a draw against a team on our level is nothing to be sniffed at ultimately.

I mean unfortunate not to win by more, box and gubb missing a few easy chances - mainly gubb. but super sub ewunce again almost scoring instantly after his sub, and eventually gets the late winner. still looking sloppy at the back, i tried a lower line but he had his att lower too so they were shooting early, could have been scary. but i liked what i saw from the mids.

A solid start all things considered - for a team out of 4 academies it’ll always be function over anything else. Ranking is going to be king this season!

yeah got some pretty tough games lined up, will do my best for them but they're doing pretty good for what i've seen.

man i just noticed sporting has/had a half decent player but hasn't played him since Janurary, what world is this?

alright i've added as many 21 and under players that i thought are worth tracking, currently have 91 players in my assistente, there are more but they are 20, 21 with less than 30 SUM most of the time that i don't think anyone would be interested in, i've added pretty much all players in human teams, maybe missed 1 or 2.
so hopefully any 17, 18, 19 yos will be on sale fairly soon? i'll have to msg someone about it if they don't on saturday.

well, got scared after going 1-0 down to another long shot, but ewunce with 2 goals in the 2nd half, pulling it off again. pretty tough opponent even if they are lower ranked than us.

also apologies for the amount of notifications you may have got recently where i had been calling people up etc - i found a better way to add them to the DB so shouldn't need to do that again.

Building the rank is always the thing in the gap year between qualifiers!
