Subject: [U21] Cymru U21 talk
well sadly i didn’t build the rank, the 2-3 weeks of me not putting in the time, forgetting i deleted a tactic etc. people not doing the friendly that was previously agreed so having to take last minute friendlies and not being able to prepare.
biggest take away would be the close loss vs peru at the start of the season, could have been a draw with the shots we had but it wasn’t to be. and the draw against norway, both teams pretty far ahead of us and had a good amount of shots vs both teams.
sadly we lost a good portion of players turning 22, however we got an ok group for the qualifiers. totally possible to get 2nd, assuming everyone else lost a good few players, but still won’t be easy.

You did your best. We're a tiny sokker nation, so it's never going to be easy, we're always the underdogs. :)
It’s the way we like it! We’ve only got a few academies so we’ll always be where we’ll be. Anyone got anything exciting in their academies out of interest? Nothing super exciting out of mine for now.
Mine is terrible, honestly. I don't think I have anything decent this season....
1 guy who is coming out at week 9 or 10, looking to be up to 16 with around 3.7 talent but will be 18, so he'll be turning 19 3-4 weeks after coming out, not ideal but the higher his skill level then the less time he'll need.
This is Wales group.... With good tactics there is possibility to go to world cup. ut difficult, but still good luck to Cymru. :-)

Just noticed that Box 39733950 is on the transfer list. One if our best strikers at U21 level, so would be great if someone can snap him up and keep training him.
before anyone over pays, his talent isn't great - 3 seasons since i sold him and value only barely doubled.
He's had some bids, so will have a new team at least, will have to see how his training goes.
I'm hoping his pace and tech can go up a bit.... anything will help really as we.are not blessed in the striker department!

Maffia is also looking to be sold, i did message him but he wants 10m euros (about 6m sterling), i would say it's not a bad price if there was sufficient evidence of good growth but he said he does his own tracking in excel which is fair enough and obviously i cant get into asistente to check his growth from last season.

He looks decent - no idea if that is a fair value or not.
I forgot about the assistante thing. I am happy for you, or any other welsh managers who want to be involved in scouting, to have access. I will have to have a look later.

Great result yesterday against Algeria Jay Jay, well done mate!
Ta, i thought we were unlucky against them last time, so great to get a result this time.
It's not been easy!

Another loss today for the U21s. Honestly i thought we weren't bad against a stronger side.
The striker issue is still there, form is terrible and so i resorted to playing a defender upfront!
We.had chances to score, but just couldn't manage it. Lambert hit the post and forced a point blank save from the keeper and we had other chances but i just don't think we have the overall attacking quality of of other teams.
The goals we conceeded were a mixed bag. 1st was a well struck long shot, 2nd a defender had his pocket picked close to goal (needed to just boot it!), and the last goal shocked me - a defender in 18 form and 16 tackling got dribbled around to score.... feels like we got unlucky with that too.
Overall i think this game sums the qualifying campaign up.... we've not really been bad, but just not quite good enough.

Adrian Rees, age: 20
club: HDFC Phoenix, country: Cymru
value : 172 050 £
wage: 1 275 £
brilliant [14] form
formidable [11] tactical discipline
height: 172 cm, weight: 67.1 kg, BMI: 22.68
good [7] stamina tragic [0] keeper
outstanding [12] pace very good [9] defender
very good [9] technique excellent [10] playmaker
poor [3] passing poor [3] striker
Any interest in Adrian Rees? I'm most likely going to sell him now this pre-season to re-invest the funds - would like to see him stay in Wales but if not it is what it is. Continuing to re-invest in some trainees but what I really need is my stadium to keep upgrading, that's where the money is for me at this stage still!
