Subject: [U21] Cymru U21 talk
I didn't see anything to say they were happening, which is always a bit annoying.
I have no issue with the current guy, but if one of the current Welsh users wanted a go then i would vote for them instead.... assuming i actually realise the election is happening!

The election is not automatically announced. I only found out as the current Scotland manager basically told me he didn't want to do it anymore.
Most of the staff talk has been on the new International cup. Which is in trial (arcade) mode this season.
They are having issues getting it to display in calendar but matches are scheduled. Hopefully they go ahead. As said this is a trial.
It deserves its own thread perhaps.

That should be fixed really, as i have just realised we have a new guy in charge of NT!
IF I remember I'll try keep the home Nations informed if candidates haven't already jumped into the forum.
Set up Sokker Asistente, need to start going through adding the new players. How do I update players who are already in there? Just trying to get my head around it - added blue as a scout, Jay Jay do you want to stay on as scout as well?
ah right forgot - my assistente username is sirblueduck, so that should be added instead of my mananger name.
to update it you just go to the NT squad view, and enter your login and press update, only problem is adding new player since most don't use assistente, all you have to do is enter the player's code if i remember correctly then update and his stats get added.

just to view the database, add to the database, update the database, i usually log in every week especially on thursdays so i can easily just keep updating + adding players at will.
Cheers! I’ve noted down on my phone all the players of interest who are currently in Wales, only other thing to check is the U21s we’ve each sold in the last few seasons. There’s not really enough players in the overall pool that we need to leave any out!

Full disclosure on this, the first game was always going to be a bit plug and play as I was away start of the week and then back before Christmas so I’ve only had my phone to go through U21 stuff on. A fair few injuries going in but none sustained in the game, and a clean sheet and 4 goals despite having our first two choice keepers out and one of our strikers. The tactic was already in the system, I just wanted to get a 4ATB tactic against weaker opposition but it was definitely too deep in defence and against a high line we had a fair few offsides. I’ll be working through tactics now over the coming week, and plenty of our friendlies our U20 ahead of next year so there’ll be something of a changing of the guard.
Overall happy though, a 4-0 win to start us off so we got some goals in - our options below Box up front aren’t much looking ahead though as we’ve suffered with over the last few seasons.

Very fair point, you had more goals scored out of it! Wasn't meant as a dig, NZ definitely have more to offer than Kenya though and it meant it was over-cautious in defence and their high line caught us a few times. I just went for the best one for the players without having the chance to look too deep this week - I'll hope to try and copy them to make tweaks as we go but life rather got in the way this week!

I'm just kidding, different game and players etc.
I went with a deeper back 4 as time went on, as lack of pace in the players i was using meant playing a high line just wasn't an option.
With the forwards i pushed them high as there was a lack of tech skills, so they weren't going to recieve the ball well with players around them or dribble anyone, so just looking to get a bit of space by running in behind the defence. In those circumstances i'll take a few offsides if it brings a good chance after that.

Certainly played out that way - the last goal especially was a nice ball in behind but our strikers need the headstart!
