So, what are we all expecting from next season?
Pretty much all of my money has gone back into improving the club for the future, new trainees, coaches etc., so I have very little money to spend on improvements for this season.
I will try and strengthen, but it will have to be on a shoestring budget. As such, I imagine 5th place in the league is likely again.
My biggest hope is that my trainees continue to improve and I get some kind of cash flow going. From there I can hopefully start pushing to the next level.

I'm hoping to consolidate top 4 - I think Cym will continue to fall away, their keeper will keep them competitive but it's going to be a very old squad tomorrow when the game updates and you can see the values dropping in those outfield players. I've invested on my stadium and a few trainees in advance, I've got a few players to sell when the season ticket money drops to try and recoup some funds so from there I'll maybe try and add one or two more players, but most likely continue to invest in the stadium which I hadn't touched for a season and a half. My sponsors and attendance every week is the most limiting thing to my week to week income compared to you all, an extra £10k a week or so would give me a bit more flexibility at least!
Speaking of stadiums, I don't think we'll recognise the Train in Vain Arena when we visit this season - some upgrade there!

I thought I'd just go for it with the stadium. I will have to at some point, so thought I'd go for it while I had the money. I'd have been tempted to buy players i couldn't afford otherwise!
Hopefully my current trainees will get me some cash in around 2 more seasons.... God, thus really is a game of patience!

the problem is you weren’t selling out, even vs human players, you hit 14.5k vs sporting, but you were hitting near 14k vs some bot teams. generally upgrading is good once you get near selling out, whether that’s vs a human team or bot teams. i saw you’ve signed some 30 year olds too, i did some quick math for wages you’re spending 85-90k on wages, not including your trainer wages, academy cost, stadium maintenance. from a 14k match day you make 80k, so if you don’t have 2 home games a week you’re running at a loss.
Ah, it'll be fine! ;)
If I have to sell the expensive players at some point then so be it.

Great first week result. Never expected anything like that, but the team really moved the ball around so well.
Interesting result between blue and Britain. 0-0, but blue with the most shots. Not often teams do that to Britain... could this be blue's year for the title?

Likewise delighted with my result - Cym didn't really have a sniff, they’re definitely regressing but we were comfortable with trainees on the field too which was great. Very nicely balanced league table after the first game!
I don’t imagine I’ll be at the top for much longer, so just enjoying it while I can
A 2-0 loss to Blue which I’ll happily take - got minutes for some of my trainees and only conceded 1 in that time which is definitely positive. Sellout at the new capacity as well which doesn’t hurt the bank balance either!
3-0 defeat to Little Britain but we had a fair few chances! Got a few minutes in for some trainees too, that’s the focus now for the next few weeks for sure. Really hoping for a favourable cup draw as well, could be an invaluable few quid in that if I get Cym at home compared to Blue or Little Britain again.
I can't see the actual match, but 8 shots to 5 makes it seem quite close!
I have to play them next then Blue, so I expect the usual spankings from both...

I’ve seen loads of comments on the forums about injuries over the last few seasons and aside from my keeper inexplicably getting injured in the last second in the cup last year I’ve always escaped the worst of it. I’m getting hammered for injuries for trainees this season though! Just can’t catch a break.
think it's a mix of long injuries + lack of sanctions. i still remember my striker broke the line of britain, his def running back and fouled him, no card, no injury but still no yellow or red.
and injuries stacking too, unpredictable, even if your pitch condition is 100%.

Not sure if there is something ion this but last season was my worst ever and I reckon I hit 15+ injuries. This season so far.....none but I don't even want to say anything.
