Well, no project this time as he's been bid on already... I really don't understand the transfer market on this game. I've had much better youth players go for £2....

But you're right about the project players... I have at least 1 i should have gotten rid of, but I just want to make him the best he can be! :D

I may be trying to train too many different things, as until the end of last season I was training 4 skills depending on position. I couldn't get a coach with 4 unearthly ratings this season, so have had to drop to 3 things being trained.

I will be going back to pace either next season or the season after, so that will be easier... I probably need to start thinking of selling some, but I just like the idea of training the players all the way from a youth into the best player they can be.... but I don't think that is how you win here....

And I had 2 16 year olds rated "A" on the SKTables website this week. They will come out at 17 though, but both in first few weeks and estimated at levels 10 and 11, so may be good?

Someone either wants an all tragic player just for the craic or as it's only week 3 is taking a punt they can still make a player out of him.

Unless you have an unearthly youth coach (I don't) getting youths out early into the senior team. Is probably better for their development. You can start training skills that suite them. Your in control of it earlier.

If they are on or close to the maximum progression line, then you could have yourself a top player.

Transfer market was on the up before advanced training, but you could bag players at a decent price who had low pace for example: this guy bought for 145k sold for 4m - guy had 2 pace, 7 tech, 7 def at 16 - today he probably might be 4m at 16, didn't have a talent. sold him at 17 pace, 16 def, 11 tech.

Market now? since you are limited to 10 places for advanced trianing, it means younger players, especially ones with talent are worth more to people since they get better training and will lead to more gains, meaning better players, more money. which is why you may not be able to bag 16, 17 yos anymore with half decent side stats and low pace.

For your situation, it's hard to say, my advice is always pace training since EVERY position needs to pace, so buying 16,17,18 yos with low pace (higher pace if they're 18) or keeping youth to train pace is your best bet if you wanna sell, if you want to keep players, then you need to know player's talents, if you don't know their talent, then i'll do my best to see if a player is worth keeping/training:
For advanced training: 16 yos will pop fairly fast, unless their talent is pretty bad, 17 yos, 1 pop every 2-3 weeks with 1-2 side pops in between, good talent. 18 yos 3-4 weeks per pop, 2-3 if the skill is low enough, below 10 usually 3 weeks is a good sign for talent. then after 18, 4 weeks is a good steady number until you hit ages 20+ and skills 12, 13+ they will take longer.

Player's take the biggest hit for training at 24, 25, if you have a world class / really good player, training him until he's 27,28 isn't a bad thing at all, but once a player hits 25, you will want to think about rotating him out of advanced for a younger player who may have decent talent.

that's just as simple as i can put it, but always ask here or dm me if you want more advice for it.

My only lack of knowledge is the transfer market because i haven't dabbled as much with buying younger players since advanced training + inflated prices.

and you shouldn't think about trying to win the league or cup so soon, if you want to do that, you would just sell all your players for 2-3 seasons, then buy 30+ yos and make a half decent tactic like cym did.

I didn't rush to an advantage, i wanted to of course, a few seasons i spent all my money on some good players then kept losing to britain, so instead i just focused on my own youth, since i had some good pulls + some decent cheap market buys and i won the cup and should have won the league, but still not losing vs britain was a big achievement.

don't be scared to just move players on / fire them if they're not popping, or don't fit into your training, i have a player right now if you want him, no one is buying him, he's not great but decent talent, but no room for him in my advanced training but firing him seems unfair but if i cant sell this season then i'm just gonna fire him.

even if their talent isn't there, if they come out at 10, 11, people will buy at a decent price for 17 yos with decent SUM. but certainly worth keeping if you can fit around them.

That’s what I’m aiming for with my first few seasons back - shouldnt be any need to worry about relegation so just get a load of youngsters in and get them playing with advanced training, currently set on pace.

Focusing on Welsh players at the moment as well ideally, not sure about being a centre of excellence but given how limited our pool of players in the more Welsh players we’ve got in advanced training playing regularly the better really!

we had a good rotation, britain had some really good players like payne, then my guys came in, davies, pembridge, bit slow not but by the time some hit 23, 24, they should be half decent for NT duty.

Sporting selling 18 yo
Adrian Rees

If you're looking for half decent welsh youth to fit into your advanced training, problem is sporting never opens / responds so you'll be chancing the talent, but can certainly be a good pickup for the future if he pops.

Would most likely make a good def, maybe a mid, low tech is unfortunate but can still be useful.

I was taking a look at him earlier - hoping he stays cheap but will see what he ends up as. I can’t afford to break the bank for talent just yet but I’ve got an eye on him.

always a risk, spent 1.3m whatever on a dutch player, didn't pop as good as i had hoped, still sold for 800k but still a loss.

Sniped him with 10 minutes to go for 25.5k. I’ve got everything driven into pace atm with a coach with unearthly pace so I’ll keep him and play him through this season, his tech is lower so maybe sell him start of next season for someone to build up his tech.

Planning on playing him as a fullback because of his passing, see how he goes first few games!

Gavin Harper, age: 18
club: HDFC Phoenix, country: Cymru
value : 39 150 £
wage: 465 £
very good [9] form
tragic [0] tactical discipline
height: 177 cm, weight: 74.5 kg, BMI: 23.78

tragic [0] stamina adequate [6] keeper
average [5] pace tragic [0] defender
tragic [0] technique tragic [0] playmaker
good [7] passing tragic [0] striker

Dropped to good this morning which is a bit of a shame but listed him anyway. He’s not overly exciting but 3 weeks time I’ve got 3 juniors all coming out, one of whom is a 16 year old who looks handy so holding out for that at the moment.

considering symonds was at a similar level (7 pace, 8 gk), i think we have a future NT gk here.
the third NT gk i've spawned.....why can't i get a striker?

I have a 16 y/o to promote next week. Only rated C on the SKtables website so not likely to be that great. No idea of talent either.

9 more weeks till my next player comes up. He is rated A and estimated to be a level 10 first week 17 year old, so might be worth something.

That's some junior to pull, fair play - I'll break the news to Gavin Harper that his NT dreams are over!
