Came out as excellent

James Borrowman, age: 19
club: HDFC Phoenix, country: Cymru
value : 47 850 £
wage: 690 £
very good [9] form
tragic [0] tactical discipline
height: 176 cm, weight: 65.7 kg, BMI: 21.21

tragic [0] stamina hopeless [1] keeper
very good [9] pace hopeless [1] defender
poor [3] technique solid [8] playmaker
poor [3] passing average [5] striker

Came out as good

Vaughn Bowen, age: 17
club: HDFC Phoenix, country: Cymru
value : 18 600 £
wage: 360 £
very good [9] form
tragic [0] tactical discipline

unsatisfactory [2] stamina tragic [0] keeper
hopeless [1] pace unsatisfactory [2] defender

Currently training pace so very tempted to keep Bowen while I have space and maybe sell him on start of next season. Borrowman I've listed just to see if anyone takes him on.

Tragic tech on Hough is a real tough draw
2026-01-02 10:37:50
Indeed. Let us never speak of it again!
2026-01-02 10:56:19
bowen and hough only ones worth keeping around depending on talent. hough needs a lot of work though but i see a potential winger/AM, maybe even a striker.

the others are only worth keeping if their talent was at least 3.5 imo.
2026-01-02 12:14:10
Hough was 4.3 to 4.4.

If he doesn't sell i may train him, but the question is who do i kick from trainees to do so?

I've swapped a few trainees oit over the last season and it just means you sell a trainee before they're really worth anything and basically make no money.... i can't do that too many times...
2026-01-02 12:48:49
the answer is no one, for that talent, he probably isn't much better than you already have
2026-01-02 12:50:29
if his sum / distribution was better, and you had a space, then it's worth it, but if you have to swap out a younger player or someone with better talent, not worth it. even older players with better talent would be better to keep training.

I've basically finished training proctor now, he's 25, talent was 4, but popped much better than a 4.

Marcus Proctor, age: 25

club: Blue Bois, country: Cymru
value : 1 044 150 £
wage: 16 065 £
superdivine [18] form
brilliant [14] tactical discipline
height: 176 cm, weight: 80.3 kg, BMI: 25.92
bookings:

formidable [11] stamina hopeless [1] keeper
divine [17] pace divine [17] defender
excellent [10] (+1) technique adequate [6] playmaker
outstanding [12] passing very good [9] striker

sometimes you gotta trust your gut, if you think he could be worth it, then i won't say you're wrong, can just give my opinion on what i see. he's 19, 35 SUM, which isn't that bad of a sum for a 19 yo this early of the season, but his distribution is weak. if the guy had 9 tech, 4 pm instead of that 4 stam, now you're talking, would probably sell for quite a bit too.

Seems good. I think i've whittled trainees down to having good talent (except rigden!) and/or having decent levels, so really didn't want to swap any out other than for so.eone who may be useful for U21s.

In regards to youth players, i'm thinking of immediately kicking any who will promote at 19 or over; as they never seem worth it, no matter their level.
2026-01-02 14:35:06
i think level + talent should come into the choice, i won't keep anyone with 30+ weeks that has less than at least 14 minimum level, then after a few weeks if i see they're not progressing as good, then i get rid. obviously you may not have as many spots as i do so maybe better to get rid of most 20-30+ weeks if they come out 19, 20, 21.

for example if they turn 19 and come out in the first 3 weeks of a season, at a decent level, decent talent, hard to predict but obviously the longer they're in, the more accurate you can tell, but yeah i get it, waste 20 weeks on a player for their talent to be 5 and pop like twice, can be disheartening.

currently i have maybe 1 guy in my youth who has around 3.6 talent, but he still has like 20 weeks and will be almost turning 20 lmao. but predicted level of 15.

This is Rigden slander!
2026-01-04 00:03:55
All i'm saying is that i've won nothing since he's been in my squad. Is that some kind of coincidence?!
2026-01-08 18:01:22
Look at this incredible I pulled today, his distribution kind of sucks but I will train him as a striker as his talent is between 3.3 and 3.5. Really should be Welsh though imo.

Gareth Bale, age: 18, height: 179 cm
value: 79 050 £, wage: 1 065 £
club: Thamesmead Town FC, country: England
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

weak stamina, unsatisfactory keeper
excellent pace, hopeless defender
unsatisfactory technique, excellent playmaker
weak passing, solid striker

Wow.

Reminds me of times gone by. When we added Kenny Dalglish to the Scotland squad. He was a bot player of 50k value or so.

I used to get messages from users. Why is he in the squad, my players much better :)

*He featured off the bench occasionally...

At least this player has good potential too!

The disrespect on Dalglish!

Given the current balance of injuries in the game, let's hope Bale 2.0 doesn't go the same way. At least hopeless defender means there's no pretence he'll even try and be a left back here now (although he was very solid at Southampton when he started out to be fair)

Funnily enough, I imagine that we can’t get a Gareth Bale that is Welsh on this game; as I don’t think Bale is in the list of Welsh names.

He looks like he should be decent too.
