Hopefully his youth will help him recover quickly. I doubt i'll get him back this week, but maybe he can play with a slight injury next week.

Glover just ticked over to slight injury this morning. So i should just need 25 mins in todays game to get him his 96% training.

I'm thinking of playing corner friendlies in future to try and reduce risk to trainees.

stamina builds up super fast if they're playing at least 1 official game a week, by the time they get to 20, 21, stamina is usually at least 9/10

Just looked at the data i've put together on my trainees. The guys i'm looking at I've had as 18 y/o from week 3 to now. Their stamina pops have been pretty consistent at 8.3 weeks. So that is only about 3/4 pops per player in this instance, but the consistency is there across all 5 of them, so i think it's valid.

Note that there seems to be no real difference dependent on the level of stamina they started with or any differences in talent. There has also been a mix of how they get their training minutes. Some played just official games, others a mix of friendly and official. Also some differences in training %, varying from 96% to 100%.

looking too much into it really, stamina becomes important in international games and more populated leagues where things are competitive - not saying things are not competitive right now since everyone has beaten someone at some point in the last few seasons, just outside of the first 2 weeks and last 2 weeks, we have next to no worry as even with a bunch of youth on the field we can beat the bots, maybe only cymru being a problem. stamina has always been the fastest skill to go up - i guess cause 11 is max? idk. for new players i'd never recommend training it at all.

I say 1 official game cause it gets someone not in advanced training to 93%, which is borderline the minimum for a half decent return when not in advanced, but in advanced they get 96% which is the sweet spot and can minimise injury since they only play 1 game instead of 1 friendly + 22 mins in an official match increasing injury risk, especially if you play away.

I think it's just useful to know that you will get those regular pops without having to do anything.

Neil Joins, age: 18
club: Train in Vain, country: Cymru
value : 45 600 £
wage: 630 £
very good [9] form
tragic [0] tactical discipline
height: 178 cm, weight: 76.2 kg, BMI: 24.05

poor [3] stamina tragic [0] keeper
good [7] pace good [7] defender
solid [8] technique average [5] playmaker
average [5] passing hopeless [1] striker

Not quite hitting the sum that was mentioned in the U21 thread, but nice distribution and apparently he is a "super talent" at 3.6. As such he will get some pace training for a while and we'll see what that super talent can do.

He's still really nicely distributed on the left hand side, we'll take that for sure!

2 in today - first one joined a week ago Saturday, dropped from adequate to average. Kept him as the time was so short but in the end no luck with him, will try and sell but probably sack.

Damian Buckeridge, age: 17
club: HDFC Phoenix, country: Cymru
value : 10 200 £
wage: 300 £
very good [9] form
tragic [0] tactical discipline
height: 167 cm, weight: 64.4 kg, BMI: 23.09

unsatisfactory [2] stamina tragic [0] keeper
hopeless [1] pace average [5] defender
unsatisfactory [2] technique poor [3] playmaker
weak [4] passing tragic [0] striker

Second came out as very good:

Ollie West, age: 17
club: HDFC Phoenix, country: Cymru
value : 28 350 £
wage: 465 £
very good [9] form
tragic [0] tactical discipline
height: 176 cm, weight: 72.5 kg, BMI: 23.41

weak [4] stamina tragic [0] keeper
good [7] pace hopeless [1] defender
hopeless [1] technique weak [4] playmaker
solid [8] passing poor [3] striker

He's not bad for a 17 year old I suppose - if only the tech and passing were switched. Will list him as well but if not he can take a bit of training seeing as he's 17.

pretty good, if you end up selling i could potentially take over, see where i am next season
2026-03-05 19:10:46
understandable to keep in as many as you can, what level are all of your youth trainers now?

and honestly, depending on his talent, ollie could be a GK, i know it's 0 but pure gk from now, maybe 1-2 pops before end of season, if no talent then not worth the time. i say that just because he needs a lot of everything, he's a mid/wing, maybe just a def but he needs pace, pm, def, then ending with passing/tech, and it can still be done, but imagine just training gk for 4 seasons and seeing what happens xd

I'll give him pace next seaon and see where he is.

If i need to seel i'll let everyone know. Would be good if we can all work together to train U21 players.

My youth trainer is level 14. I think i have had better players recently, but whether that is due to the trainer i don't know.
2026-03-06 02:51:05
sadly it's not a problem to pump out players, it's pumping out players even at 4 talent or better, mainly got a lot of 5+ for my next few
2026-03-06 02:54:02
think my main problem, even now depsite trying to teach what i've learned, still make easy training mistakes, whether i spend 1 season too much on one skill etc etc. rounding out players is great, but i think the core skills before rounding out should be better for myself going forward.
2026-03-07 16:42:12

i think i have a surplus of gk in my youth now
2026-03-07 18:47:12
Can't have too many, always good to have options.
